While I understand what you're saying, it technically wouldn't be hard to mimic the way the factory does it, as is, the Adaptronic has some controls over the severity of the retardation, and the duration. What I was more thinking of though is regards to the ignition trims. No, you dont want it trimming when it doesn't need to be, but if you spend the time on the correction maps, there is no reason it couldn't be the ideal result for each temperature.
