I thought it would be a good idea to put an adjustable fuel reg on the rail as im using an aftermarket fuel pump. Im guessing the stock fuel reg would be set to work with a stock pump, not a aftermarket one that should pump more. So im using the reg to control the pressure to the rail at a factory setting of 38-40psi. and hopefully keep the engine from running richer than usual. I also read somewhere that some people have difficulty with the stock reg?

From memory the Gen3 1GGTE that Rod put in the RA28 made 148rwkw with a big front mount 3 inch exhaust and 11psi of boost. Everything else was stock as far as I know.

My 1G certainly ran very rich!!!!! No idea what things are going to be like next,

Balanced bottom end, gas flowed head, ported with a valve job, Mines ECU, Greddy FMIC, Apexi SAFC-II adn AVC-R, rebuilt stock turbos, HKS exhaust...... Fingers crossed for some decent (ish) power

Anyone know what Stock CT-12s are good for power wise? My aim is 225 kw... but I Am guessing that that is not going to happen with those turbos!!!

Also, while all the 1G heads are together on one thread..... does anyone know what the adjuster knob under the cover held in by one screw on a gen 3 ECU does???? Both my factory one and my Mines one have it!

I always thought the ct12's were not rebuildable? My ecu has the adjuster knob but no one seems to know what it does.

I have rerad somthing about it but can recall what it was.... I should be on the forums somewhere.

You can rebuild the turbos but it isn't the cheapest option, I feel unless you really wanted the stock thing happeneing that you would be far better off getting an single turbo on there.

170 - 180 is the highest I've heard stock turbos going to. the blitz bag turbos or high flowed CT12 may get you closer to 200 but I think 225 is a stretch.

I intended to get a set of turbos rebuilt but at about $450-500 per turbo for no real power gain I couldn't justify it. Hi-flowing is up in the realm of $1000 per turbo for a minor gain.

GT28RS for about $1450 + Manifold + Decent computer puts you well into the 200+ (closer to 240-250)

I wanted to keep the stock turbos for other reasons, I want to keep the car twin turbo as twin turbo A-70s are very rare, especially 2.0 ones! When I got them rebuilt I did enquire about haveing them made as hybrids, but no one could offer that service, at that time...

I wonder how hard it would be to fit CT-12As? As they can be bought in hybrid form, -I really want to try and keep the factory heat shields too as don't want things to look too messed about with!!! -which is why I rebuilt the 1G instead of just fitting something else...

Either way I have seriously run out of money, so my aim now is just to get the bastard back together and working Shame as I kinda wanted shot peened rods and forged pistons "while it was all apart"....

Oh, and we have got to work out what that adjuster does! Its driving me mad!
