Awww Cool A cheap set, I'll swap you for an AFM I've tinkered with...

I'll see what happens. I might pull a few codes and see what happens, I've got more power and better low power, but I've driven harder 1G's and that other dyno looks alot better than mine.

Unless soarer and Supra ECUs are different?!?

Hmm how r u people getting 170rkw out of the 1g... I can't find my dyno readout but stock I had 97rwkw. After mods I got 130rwkw at 14psi with a set of Blitz Bag turbos (Hi flowed ct12’s) and full 3 inch exhaust and aftermarket cooler. My trans is auto which does give lower reading but still... 130rwkw from what I seen on toymods and what I done to the car is pathetic. Out of curiosity what should I be looking for to be at fault to cause it to be down on power?
I changed all my leads, cleaned the injectors did all the bells and whistles...apart from like everyone’s 1G running rich there are no problems with the engine but why so down on power????? Ohh it’s a gen3 1g as well.

Hey Labolica was the Hks Bov the SSQV one or... cause I just put one on so want to know if I need to be worried. Also are you using a Ebc or bleed valve. My boost use to drop to 12psi wit the crappy bleed valve up top.

Pube what did you do to yours to get 170rwkw...its obviously manual gen3 1g. Did u put a piggyback on it or anything else..really curious.

I am going back on the dyno soon with a safc neo and a EBC instead of shit Bleed valve...All I want is 170rwkw out of her with the auto trans... How much would that come up in a manual equipped car...180rwkw???

Also I am going to have a play with the AFM spring tension on the dyno and see what it does and I’ll get back to you with the info.

dunno if it helps or not, but my 1g runs SUPER rich like u wouldnt believe. dunno if it was something to do with my conversion (cant see how putting it in a hilux would effect it but hey whatever..) still running standard computer, fair size front mount, 3 inch exhaust etc..

They all run stupid rich...i think its a toyota think...thats why people get good gains when they do a piggy back fuel comp. like a safc to trim the mixtures....

As far as I know my engine is stock! I just have a 3" exhaust with stock dump pipe. The intercooler is a cheapo ebay special the same as the just jap ones and home made cooler pipes made from exhaust bends. No BOV, and home made boost controller which consists of a plastic Tee piece with a calibrated hole drilled into it!! The half cut had an auto ecu but I managed to find a manual ecu on ebay if that makes any differance. No piggy backs yet. I had a slipping clutch on the dyno day, I guess it came good for the run.
The AFM is also un touched as far as I know. It doesnt seem to run too rich, maybe a bit on startup and initial driving. I havent adjusted or even checked the timing as it ran fine when it was first started. Still using the original leads but new plugs.

When I finish the transplant to the new car im putting a trust twin turbo kit on the engine. I guess it will be interesting to see the comparison again. I also have a few HKS piggy backs to tune the injectors and remove the AFM. I will also go for the 440cc injectors.

Hey fellas,in reference to the screw on the AFM i thought that it was a idle mix adjustment?

Also i was "told" the numbers stamped at the base of the screw on the AFM body eg;mine had 7.7 on it.Add a 1 in front of the 7 making it 17.7mm,there for the measurement was taken from the screw head to the top of the AFM casing.i think they might have done this for assembly purposes?
this may have come from the old forums

also i have just installed a Falcon header tank on my RA28/1G and it works a treat on temp levels, air locks and etxreme temp and humidity levels in Darwin!!!!

    Cheers Guy

Generally you are correct, if you change the spring tension however that 77 setting goes out the window.

Pube, by the way yours goes rick and then leans out again, does that mean your fuel pump is lazy perhaps?

That could also be from the injectors getting close to the limit.

otherwise tell me what fuel pump you are using

    You suck....

Possibly it is the manual ECU or you have one of "Those" engines...
