hehehe yeah I guess it could be one of "those" engines. Who knows, maybe there is something else done to it? Considering when I got the half cut it was from a GX81, a bigger car for a 1ggte. It had ben converted to a manual, and had plumbing for a boost controller and had a pod filter.

Lol I envious of your 1ggte pube...nah I recon its combination of things...Mainly the low kays and maybe the manual ecu...not too sure...I think its just a Wednesday engine ..lol.. Still that is very impressive considering u don't even have a full 3 inch exhaust and just a bleed valve...Tell me does your boost drop of towards the top of the rpm's..

Hey Lambolica..could you hear your Bov leak....I know my exhaust of the turbo to the cat (down pipe) leaks could that be costing me power.. Maybe I need to recheck how tight my inlet manifold is??? Since I pulled the whole motor down when I blew my head gasket. Can you hear a boost leak clearly or??? Still no one answered me, anyone know how much the auto looses in a 1ggte over a manual on the dyno.

Auto - Manual loss is usually in the order of 30-50kw at the fly.

I was told by the dyno operator that I had a boost leak, I swapped the pipe with the bov and solved the issue. couldn't really hear it but then again never tried to hear for it.

I'm really hoping for some kind of "free" power as I have a Date at WSID in a week and there are times to beat brag rights etc.

Pube any chance I can borrow your ECU to see if there is any difference in the A/F?

    Cheers

The auto ecu shouldnt make a differance my 1G was pumping 177kw with stock intercooler/turbos and injectors all I changed was the ecu for a EMS onebut when we first tuned it on stock boost just leaned out the standard fuel map it went from 95kw to 130kw then I put 16psi into it to make 177 but the intercooler ran out and the boost kept droping down to 14psi

    Hope this helps
    Cheers

Hmmm I have a gen 3 1ggte in my soarer with a bleed valve at 14psi. I had it on a dyno earlier this year with an auto, the car had around 50000km on it at the time. Besides some power surge thing, that i believe may be due to running the spark plugs colder than stock which casues the car to power surge when under heavy load there are no other faults. The most accurate result we could get out of it, as it kept dropping gears was approx 130rwkw.
Due to the results of others and my understanding of a stock 1ggte i simply cant believe your results pube. I dont think for your level of modification to be possible. Was it run on some silly dyno dynamics shootout mode on steroids lol?

Yeah i just dont see it being possible, i wold recomend getting it dynoed at a different place to see how correct your initial results were.

Ran on the same Dyno as Mine by the same operator at a Dyno day, I saw the run. (not on the same day as mine) and there were no other over the top results, if anything there were some slightly lower than previous days.

I seen people achieve 170rwkw+ with a standalone no probs...but then again its a standalone...you can tune anything on the engine.. but I am really interested in people on this forum that have a standard ECU and just some kind of piggy back and managed 170+..Thats why I can't believe how the hell did Pube get 170rwkw which such mild mods...can't be our fuel pumps..as we get plenty fuel and that the only different mod.. Its the low kays i think....everything still works nicely stock...

SIKTOY so trimming the fuel mixture made a huge difference... cause what kills my car and I think most 1G's power output when the boost is up...they run way too rich. You also removed your AFM with the EMS that would have helped a lot as well....

Big rob...a few people that I know with 1G soarers with auto are putting out about 130-140rwkw including my self. The A340 chews about 20rwkw on a dyno over the manual...making my goal of 170rwkw even harder....

    Mine made 150rwkw , M/T at 15psi boost...

And take my word for it, it aint low kays on this donk

Oh and that was with the stock exhaust too, I'm keen to see what I'll get with the bling flash new exhaust I've got on there now, but the dyno can wait.

Only other mod to add on my engine is a Sard rising rate fuel reg set at 40psi. I was surprised with the result on dyno day too!!
