HELP!- 3SGTE diagnosis

Ince u mentined the wastegate...on the wastegate there is 2 hose comin out the top.one of them has a cap on it,it's blocked is that normal?

That'll be the T-VSV being blocked off - gives constant boost in all gears instead of higher boost in 3rd / 4th / 5th. Pretty common when people are running a boost controller.

idont have a boost controller...and u say it gives constant boost through all gears....why do i only hit 8 psi when i put itto the flor shouldnt i be abl;eto get higher then 8 psi in lowrpms....it will get to 16 by the timei hit 5500rpm

interesting, if you have blocked off tvsv then you should only be running about 8 all the time. You wont get boost low in the revs because turbos cant do that.

In my far-from-expert opinion, I'd be checking the wastegate - sounds like 8psi is where it's set but it's creeping up from there.

they do creep if they have a real free flowing exhaust, but not that bad.
