was a hell of a lot cheaper - especially since willofan was so kind to give me one of his broken flywheels for free

Trick with using secondhand ring gears is to turn them around if possible. That way the burred end from crunchy engagement is on the non-engagement end. Worked well with the HZ 1Ton I did up for a plumber many years ago...

Righto, must be different with the holdens. Probably why I've never had a drama with Toyota ones...

Lol, somehow it always ends up as rotary talk... No matter what car or engine the conversations about XD

Chook cookers? Haven't heard that one... Made me laugh! I still like rice burners though =P

No posts in over a month? Must have been all that rotary talk.

Hi team. Has anyone got the partnumber OR a non-genuine alternative to the half-moon seals that sit at the back of the cylinder head? I threw mine out when I pulled the motor down, assuming my 'complete' gasket kit would be complete. Apparently not.

Also if one of the SA boys (sam and steve, looking at you?) have a known good condition oil pump for 18R OR 18R-G, either will do, I have a terrible feeling I might need one...
