Is the accusump and off the shelf / aftermarket / high volume / baffled sump? or a modification / addition to the stock sump?

accusump is a pressurised canister of oil the you rig up to a solenoid and presure sensor when oil pressure drops below a set level it injects its reserve into the system giving crucial miutes to safely shut the motor down

You'd want to check that those Jag sprockets match the chain Standard used by Toyota.
ANSI has 9.35mm pitch, as does ISO/DIN/BS.
Problem is that the chain rollers are different sizes. ISO, which Toyota used has a roller width of 5.7mm and diameter of 6.35mm.
    ANSI has narrower roller.

You could just go with one of these:

This is a new product that looks like it might take care of a few timing chain related issues:

I think that the two hole tensioner should mount to an 18RGEU head as I think the front cover plates are the same.

18R-G gear drive kit tooth counts:

    28T Crank Driven spur gear
    40T Spur Gear Idler
56T Auxilliary Shaft Drive spur gear
    24T Aux Sprocket (Standard part)
24T Camshaft Sprocket (Standard Part or aftermarket adjustable)

I counted these from a photo and they seem to calculate fine.
That means a 50% reduction from crank to aux shaft, which would be correct for driving the camshafts.
The dizzy drive gear combination must reduce the ratio by another 50% for spark.

We should get these made up in bulk =P I'd buy two sets, one for my 18RC and one for my 18RG!

Just wondering if the clearance issue i am having is normal.

18RG into a RA28. finally bought some K&N filters and went to fit them, they were much too thick so i bought the lower profile ones. turns out they interfere anyway with the booster. Wish i had noticed that first.

Is this solved with the thinner intake manifold? I have the manifold without the integrated balance tube - has coolant in it.

    Thanks

18rg aux shaft and cams rotate at the same rate. The crank takes two strokes for one rotation, and the cams take 4 strokes for one rotation, so 50% reduction is right.

    @ Taff.

I've heard 18RG's have clearance issues in RA28's and that a solution is to use an early 18RG manifold thats 'lower profile'.

That's what I've heard though, I don't know how true it is.

    Hi,

thing is the factory 18rg had an air box the then had a hose that went up to the air filter that was semi bolted to the radiator. You shouldn't have any clearance issues though, i never did in any of my 28's. It's the earlier manifolds (88230) that are longer. Not sure on the 88210 as i've never had my greasy paws on one. But i should have a later one or two that is shorter that should fix this issue if you have an earlier model. Maybe throw up a pic of the inlet manifold if you're having trouble identifying it.

Oh, and don't use those round ones. Use the square versions as they're shorter. Might get that little bit of room that you need

Either of these two manifolds should work as they have the same extension from the head.

I had RAMFLO filters on mine with no issue.

    Hi,

aren't ramflows notorious for randomly falling apart and being ingested by your engine?

    *Shrugs*
My aunty had the car for like 10 years with em on. Don't recall her having any issue with them. (I imagine it's had a few new filters in that time though)

Only reason they aren't on anymore is I went EFI.

Yep mines an 88230. Will have to find a short manifold.

If anyone has a 88251 or 231 they want to part with shoot me a PM.
