these guys do the adjustable roll center bits for nisaans.
And they have some nice diagrams to show how it all works
worth a read methinks

Im not sure how many of you are afriad to run rims that REALLY sit outside the guards, but this could help.. You would have the height to run a good control arm angle and also have F*%K off track.. cant beat that!
Bitch, come over here and have sex with Charlie Murphy..
Im Rick James bitch!

BTW: those coilovers on ebay went for $300ish
hello
jsut wondering if anyone has tried this option of using this balljoint? reasion im asking is because im looking into doing a S13 coilover conversion using the stub axle/hub conversion to my MZ11, and using this ball joint would mean no need to change my LCA or redrill holes? The BJ314 balljoint is a good fit in the S13 knuckles and this balljoint is found in many Toyota LCAs (MX62, MX73, MX83, JZX81, MA61 and more) so finding one which is the correct length would be great.

plus i know that you get more lock using the s13 steering arms with the ae86 non power steering rack but would the steering stay the same with a ma61/mz11 powersteering rack?
cedric - MA61 steering arms are longer than AE86 ones. AE86 ones are longer than S13 ones. So with MA61 rack and S13 arms I'd assume your lock would be insane.
Keeping your same LCAs should work, though the camber you end up with is an unknown.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
ive been looking and it seams that mz10/ma61 lca's are very similar length to ae86 lca's. Ma61 lca's are 30mm shorter than gh sigma and i *think* thats the same for ae86's lca's. so im sure there wont be much problem with camber issues - hopfully
And your right about the steering lock. This sounds like the ae86 cheep extra lock trick with PS arms on NON PS rack only the other way around.
is there a problem with too much lock? is it possible to have to much?
i guess the last thing is i would have to look into new rod ends etc...?
There'll probably be lock stop tabs on your LCAs to stop the steering arms before they move too far. Excessive lock is a problem if your wheels hit your chassis rails or the tie rods and steering arms form a straight line.If it is looming as a problem, jsut check the S13 stuff will hit these lock stops properly.
Another thing which springs to mind is to do with the powersteering. What happens if you stop the rack moving (hitting lock stops) before the end of the rack travel? Are there problems with high pressure fluid wanting to escape? I'm have very little idea about PS, so a call to someone who knows may should clear this up.

yeah, im sure that if the rack did hit the stops the fluid escaping wouldnt be a problem since that is how it was designed to work.
But i can see where your getting at there with the excessive lock problem and ill have to take a good look into this. I have to get my rack rebuilt so ill hit the fellas up while there doing the rack for some info into this.
but at leased i know that MA61 ball joint fits S13 knuckles FTW!.
thanks for the info.
Just some food for thought here.... have a look at some of the gear available here:
http://www.battleversion.com/
-> AE86 parts
might help a few of you guys here with the mods you are planning. Im going to have a look into how compatible these are with RA28 suspension goodies.
...... butt scratcher?!
did you guys ever get this into the 23/28's?
after fitting my s13 parts i found out that you dont get excessive lock due to the tie rods meeting the lock stops on the lca's, i think altho to get more lock ill be cutting them off and welding on flat steel to give me maybe 20 ~25mm of extra lock each way.Originally Posted by Hen
it does altho give you a faster steering.
here's a pic at full lock (not wheel aligned tho)

found out yesterday,
strut tops,
celica 23/28 stud spacing is 3x102mm
S13/180 is 3x103
just for the sake of it,
other way round.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT
you have to file towards the centre hole slightly on each one im pretty sure.
ill double check tonight and let you know.
oh btw if your doing this in an 86 or 23/28 make sure you use an s14 strut not s13.
the s13 strut is about 50mm shorter than you need and doesn't allow enough droop in the suspension which really sucks when your trying to pull a car up on a bumpy road (you feel like a rock skimming over a pond).
cheers

h i think Toy77? ordered in S13 techno strut tops on this sizing assumption.
apparently fitted with no dramas other that centre bearing height.
but bolt pattern wise were dirrect fit from what i hear.
