    definately,

it nearly cost that much to convert to 2 toyota front struts to coilover.

also note it already has adj. camber tops......mmmmm tasty.

people were buying them for ~200 aloone

those ones above are a good thing as they have adjustable mounting points so you can change your ride height without changing spring preload.
you can always get a set of four and sell the rears, thats what i did.

and remember while converting to S13 front suspension is a good thing, it also has some downsides, main one being excessive bump steer.

Yeah don't like the sound of that.

Changing the length of the control arm shouldn't have adverse effects on bump steer.

From pics i've seen the end of the control arm bends up towards the balljoint a lot. I am guessing rasing the outer tie rod is causing this bump steer change?

shame the rears are there as well

Hmm, the way I read it, he is only selling the REARS.

I've only just scanned this thread, so apologies if this has already been answered...

What would the negative effects on the front suspension geometry from this setup be? Other than having to use Sigma arms (if you do *have* to), which increases track, does using the S13 steering knuckly and hub add any other problems?

We have just started discussing changes in bump steer. That is the only negative I can see.

I guess this depends on what control arm you use though.

I picked up 1x left hand side S13 control arm and stub axle today. So can do some measurements with that now.

surely the bumpsteer can be correncted by moving the steering rack around a little?

or is the relative tie-rod tapered hole position way out ?

Just to add some more options to the pot: S14 LCAs are about 15-20mm longer than S13. Though S13 and S14 balljoint tapers are different.

So S14 LCA with S14 5stud hubs is another way to go about it. S13 coilovers fit S14 hubs.

That'd be a track increas of 60-70mm either side too. Sick, but may adversely affect some form of handling.

PS, I've also heard internet rumour that R33 LCAs are the same/similar to S14. Confirmation could probably be found through hours of sifting through NS.com

Yeah worst case might need to move the rack up a bit higher.. But really need to wait for it to be in the car sitting at ride height and take some measurements.

Because it all depends on the shape of the knuckles and how high the outer tie rods end up etc.

If you moved it neatly enough would they ever need to know?

    no.....

unless your in a crash and they determine the mount had be moved but not approved.

in which case youd be terminally screwed

Camber causes brutal bump steer, especially if your car is low and stiff. With the increased track of the s13 arms you get camber, some camber tops will let you re-gain more camber back to somewhere near -1.5' - 2'. As for the r33 and s14 arms, i know that the 33 arms are longer than 13 definitly, and the 34 arms are a bit longer again. i still dont have a measurement on the 14 arms so i cant say there.

I probably mentioned it earlier, but im sure you could get a offset bush made for the control arms to gain back a little less track for less camber. Otherwise if your really good with a welder you could cut them up and rose joint them, i've seen a few pics of it done. A coulple i saw looked really good, they added ribs down the both ends of the control arm for even less flex.

One point to note on is when you do this control arm swap, is that not all chassis and cross members are the same width, offset ect. By that i mean, a A series cross member might be "X" wide, where as a "G" series might be for example 10mm wider. Then on top of that, the distance the strut top is offset by could be different again, the car might have more or less camber from stock (if your still following what im saying so far lol).

I would draw it up but im no good at drawing. Maybe someone could explain it better than me if they follow what im saying lol
