i think the ecu controls the 4wd light on dash
had a few minutes while watching TV and a ECU spare so ive documented the pinouts.
this ecu was from a 1998' prado. with a manual W56 gearbox.
part number is TOYOTA: 89661-60370 & DENSO 175000-8801. M/T
the diagram is looking straight at the ECU
the plugs are 26PIN 16PIN 12PIN 22PIN.
the 22PIN plug connects to the dash loom and the other 3 go to the engine directly.
its interesting to note its a "M/T" ecu yet there is pin like PWR, 2, L, S1, S2, SL. unless the pins are there and the hardware isnt on the board.
i wonder why the ECU wants to know the car is in 4WD?

and for searching purposes:
3RZ 3RZFE 3RZ-FE pinouts ECU pins loom plugs
hello
interesting to note that it's only got2 injector channels - so it's probably squirting in much the same way as the 4age or 4agze does
Also - what kind of idle control does it have? PWM valve?
Digging up this oldie.....
Just doing a 3rz-fe Pin out chart for a '99 4x4 and need help with some of the abbreviations in the ECU.
What is??
OXO (Could be OX0 'zero'.....0X2 is Oxygen Sensor...)
TFN
CASE ( Cam Angle Sensor?? What's the 'E' for?)
VAF
IMI ( Could be IM1)
IMO ( Could be IM0 'zero')
If G2 is Camshaft Position...What is Cam angle (as in CAS) Are they Different??
Forgive me if some of the answers here are common knowledge....but I wasn't raised in the era of Computers.
