The 29 is the one off the Sti. (it was at one point at least)
VF35 was stock on 02 onwards STi's and bloody went hard for a stock turbo.....34 was pretty good too.

I actually meant the motor it originally came off, not putting one in an Adub.... haha cool ideal though. My rebuilt EJ20 made about 150-160kws atw with a TD04L. GTE makes 163kw as Finney mentioned.

The only thing so far that can't be found is the front bearings, but I'm hunting them down to find something suitable.
This could be a good option too...

Trdee, dont worry man there is no way i am spending 3k on a new SC12, .............thats ridiculous !
Scott, the Lysholm looks pretty manageable size wise.
Did we find out if anybody could re-coat the teflon surface?

Talk to HPC. I'm friends with the guys up here, I have spoken to them in the past about teflon coating things.
The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.

i kinda agree with trdee gun. if were me and i was happy with what i had (insert you here and your gze) i'ld just keep buying ~$200 sc12's and replace them if/when they shit themselves.
i know it's not the easiest task for you to swap one out, but it beats worrying about a 6k budget.

I'd just make mounts to fit the twinscrew in place where the current SC12 is, make up some inlet/outlet pipes on the charger and use the rest of your standard/current intake pipeing. I made up some mounts for an SC14 to fit onto a CA18DE in my old S13 in an afternoon (I actually made 3 revisions that day!)

Rev1 on the right, Rev 2 in the middle and Rev 3 on the left.

    Mount bolted to the block

Made a bolt to go through the bottom mount.

This is all hand made using grinder, drill press and a $100 stick welder, you can easily do the same thing yourself and save a lot of cash. This is why I'm confused why they need $6k to do something like this.

Haha, that IHI blower isn't going anywhere yet When I pull the 4AGE out to wedge in the 1MZ, I'll spend an afternoon making some brackets. Unless someone in QLD wants to drop off a 4AGE for a day to make it happen quicker

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

Since there is a bit of talk about the IHI twinscrew from the Mazda Millenia, I dug up some photos I took ages ago when I pulled mine apart in one of those "How's it work/whats inside" moments... Sooooo, picks time!

Yep! I want some decent torque and hp without fooling around with heavy, problematic turbos Eventually want to work the motor to around 180-200 RWHP, weather I get there is another story

I guess just having it in and running will be awesome, I imagine the torque spread alone will have you smiling.. get some decent headers, exhaust, maybe ecu also and fuck yeah, that'd hoot! (and probably be fairly efficient/reliable for what it is)

Going Wilwood 4 pots on the front, my own exhaust design (WIP), my own intake design(WIP), possibly dual injection and all running off a MegaSquirt 2.

We're going off topic here... So maybe I should start a build thread or something if people are keen to discuss 1MZ+AW11

As much as I dont want to make a reason for eeeyan to post here...

    but 2GR anyone?

This took some pretty major mods to the engine bay to achieve, and will only sit in this position to clear everything. I had to modify the rear crossmember as well as the front firewall, but it's all in and hanging on its new chassis mounts. Nothing is detailed, it doesn't even have a flywheel installed, this is just a dry hanging to get the engine mounts done, it all has to come back out again. The rear firewall will be reconstructed with a nice access panel for maintenance.

Sump clearance is good.... but at a cost of engine lid mods.

It will obviously need a WS TD lid as will any 2gr mk1, it's got to sit at this height to keep driveshafts happy and sump clearance.

So by far the biggest hurdle overcome, a hanging 2gr in a mk1.

Link to build thread (need to be registerd to two brutal to view)

Oh, and knightrous - V6 MR2 Dedicated Thread. Not much there but it would be good to stir up some more discussion on the topic.

No doubt its more complicated then that, but pipework isnt THAT hard, you can always utilise that boot space, modify an existing braket, it doesnt have to be pretty, just functional.
Running it with a NA intake might even be an option worth considering, pipework will be difficult but its not going to be incredibly hard
