why is it that these things are so expensive..? (the superchargers)
Shot an email off to Ogura just out of sake of curiosity. I still doubt they would be much cheaper then a twinscrew unit....

Kenne bell don't have a distributor in AUS as far I can tell.. You just have to email them.
RonRob I think is in contact with them??
I'm fairly sure he uses the AR1.33 unit for the setup he's trying to sell.
I havn't found a map as of yet but this is a good article:

Updated my supercharger calculator to flag a warning when the supercharger exceeds it's max flow instead of the psi warning I had previously.
Anyone have any ideas on the maths to incorporate temperature into the calculator?
Cool spread sheet !, let me give it a run
Just got off the phone with Stewart Toyota, the list price for a brand spankas SC12 is wait for it...............
$3060
They are just checking availability and what spare parts are available
In more news i have found a workshop keen to do the twinscew install, they recon a 6K budget should be ok, they have used sprintex charger a fair bit apparently........but not on a 4A, they are putting together a detailed price today....stay tuned.

I got a spreadsheet I was working on too. It's still a bit screwy, mainly in the intercooler calculations. I think the pulley ratio calc is a bit wrong too.

If anyone can tidy up the calcs, feel free to do so.![]()
I cant see a twinscrew setup costing so much, outside of pipework and bracketry not much else needs to be done really, you can use the existing idler setup, most of these units are the same dimensions roughly as the SC12
i wouldnt pay 3 grand for an sc12 scott. that is heaps bad value for money if you want to stay supercharged get a twinscrew. otherwise go turbo. otherwise buy another used sc12 for like $200. you can go through 15 of them before you reach the cost of a new one!!!
Harreh, i completely agree, this is my preffered option so far, but i think its a little more complicated than you think, especially with new intake, for throttle, newinlet manifold, all associated pipes and mounts. Its also a logistical nighmare to makr it fit.
Trdee, dont worry man there is no way i am spending 3k on a new SC12, .............thats ridiculous !

You can half rebuild the SC chargers as it is, rear bearings and oil seals. There's a coating business that reckons they can recoat the lobes for cheap too, I just gotta try them out first before I start recommending them.
The only thing so far that can't be found is the front bearings, but I'm hunting them down to find something suitable.
