Eaton TVS, much lower intake temps compared to conventional screw type.
JP, thanks for the link, I'll get in contact with him to see what I can find out.
I don't know if I need a weight reduced version of this version, maybe if you balance each cylinder...
Twinscrew is what I'm planning, any preferable manufacturers?
Eaton TVS, much lower intake temps compared to conventional screw type.
1MZ-FE camry gearbox will bolt directly upto this engine, the swap the other way has been done numberous times in the US.
Any consideration been given to using the SC12 charger off a 1G-GZE? Same size engine, just different number of cylinders.
Depending on which route I take for my repair, I may end up with a spare turbo setup if things get too hard.
No chance with the SC12..... It only came on the 4AGZE, and it's barely big enough for that. I'm putting the SC14 on my 4AGZE (the one from the 1G-GZE) but I'm going to be making big power with the 3SGZE, so a small roots blower just won't cut it. They heat up the air too much and the Teflon has a habit of melting off the lobes as you approach 18PSI....
The 1MZ-FE box, what's that like internal wise? Anything like the E series boxes? I got no idea when it comes to Camrys.......
the 1MZ is an E series too, that's what Shifty had with the 3S.
Apart from the shifter position, and the usual lack of an LSD, the Camry box is identical to the SW20 MR2 turbo box.
Tough enough for you![]()
Oh and ate you won't need to do any internal work to this engine. Work up the supercharger setup as intended and drop the thing in.
Will provide god response, these are slightly higher compression than the earlier ones. You will have no issues with cams, rods, etc so really the only thing I would investigate is a set of forgies
Must.... avoid.... urge... to... upgrade... parts I haven't.... used.... yet.....
I would suggest that both of you go read the last few pages of the GT4 dedicated thread in relation to the comments regarding the new ventilation hole in the side of my Gen 4 block.
I'm pretty sure that you're not supposed to be able to see the crank.
I've had an issue with the car running for the last 6 weeks which I couldn't find, but there will still be debate whether my running problem caused the hole directly because of an engine issue,
or as a side effect fo the car running the way it was, it detonated & blew that way.
Kenny bell! Straight out!
1.3L is only 1400USD... Can pump out to 35PSI
They claim their outlet temps are pretty damn low as well.
Got the engine home today.

Neighbour yanking my chain...
Extra bits.
Nice and clean inside so far.
PS pump to go, and be replaced with the 4AGZE one on the other side of the engine.
Supercharger goes where?
It's builds like this that make me think I should abandon the pipe-dreams of a 20v 7AGE and just jump straight to a 3SGE.
Hmm, memo for the future: shouldn't contemplate engine builds when drunk.
