cheap bovs are ok for a standard or fairly standard car but can tend to leak boost under higher boost levels etc

i'd say there expensive due to brand names. but then again sometimes brand name stuff is better. ie my king chrome shifter is probably gonna out last the $2 one from go-lo

Just get an OEM one. I got a little-used stock late-model EVO one off ebay for 30 bucks or so.
