i thought atmo bov's were illegal because they can affect your air/fuel ratio.

    most likely wrong though

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

It's noise that is unnecessary hence it being illegal.

Technically speaking it's a 'change' to the emission system of the vehicle and therefore illegal...the reason is irrelevant.

In practise for vented BOVs, it's noise and emissions (for AFM vehicles).

so if running LPG which screams diplomatic immunity to emission system changes, it just comes down to noise?

    thanks for the info,

    cheers, andrew

    pre mixer

    mixer was bolted to mani.

i think its reason enough for them to spot it and give the rest of the car a going over, and the atmo venting crankcase gasses are a bit of a no no so i think i might end up getting rid of it or going plumback, and fixing all the other things while im at it

Just lose it if you can mate, otherwise plumb back for piece of mind.

Sounds a lot like this, but louder (maybe my bov isn't working correctly... I'm new to turboed engines)

    Well, an update:
http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=40293 My BOV was installed the wrong way around - now I now longer get the compressor surge noise, and, very weirdly, the overboost I was getting seems to be gone... :S

I'm not sure now that my stock late mode EVO bov is up to the task. Now that it is working properly, it may be leaking boost, unless anyone has any other suggestions.

Any more recommendations for non-overpriced, purely functional BOVs that are not noisy and don't leak?
