Part number for the Rav4 inserts is 365-093.Originally Posted by Huz
These inserts are shorter and you will need to put a 7mm spacer under the foot of the insert to use these but its easy. Any suspension shop can help you out and I believe they are called strut washers or shock washers in the trade.
Just wondering does the lowered springs come in different sizes. ie can lower your car 1.5 inch or 2.5 inch? or is it just one size/type?
I'm just gathering info at the moment.
Thanks for posting up the KYB shock part codes.
Front: Rav4 - 365-093
Rear: MA70 Supra - 341-070
Looks like it is a fairly simple job to do at home.
Lovells are the only ones that can be 'custom' height AFAIK.
Rest are set.
Sorry my bad. In my above post I was referring to King Springs which I had left out.
Thanks Viper you have covered what I needed to know. You car looks like the height I want too![]()
Hm, sounds like ill be giving a few places a ring about the KYB shocks then.
You guys just using ExcelG?

I think they were called KYB- GR2.Originally Posted by takai

I would just by kings if I had to do it again.
Are there any difficulties putting the KYB Rav4 shocks and King Spring in apart from using a 7mm shock spacer?
I called Repco at St Peters NSW and got some prices:
King Spring MX83 Lowered Front - KTFL-76 > $170
King Spring MX83 Lowered Rear - KTRL-77 > $170
KYB Shocks MA70 Supra - 341-070 > $175
They didn't have the Rav4 on the system![]()
Also BA Falcon Rotors:
Standard $85 Each
4000 Series $141 Each
Ah, you have to love Ripco prices.
Try Bursons
Usually much cheaper![]()
For me personally I have gone through the troubles of purchasing springs and shocks and the rest of it to find that its not exactly what I want. I really think a set of JZX81 coilovers is the best way, you can adjust hte height to anything you want, you also have some camber adjustment in the front, if the sprigns that come with it are too hard you could possibly get replacements easier and cheaper cause they are a set ID/OD coilover and are easily available in many Kg/Lb ratings. You also have a good dampening setting and can possible get a brand that has dampener adjustable.
Just my 2c. Coilovers can be made to be driven on the street.
The prices i got were HUGELY different from the ones which MRZ got.
Close to $450 for the set of 4.
EDIT: didnt notice that his prices were for springs. Mine were for the shocks only.

Cheapest prices I found;
King Springs ~$110 front/rear set
Ma70 Rear Shocks ~ $155 each
MX83 Front Shocks ~$120 each
Total : $670
How much would the total coil-over setup cost? $1500?
Matt-AE86: I assume your Mark 2 has similar suspension as Cressidas and you are realizing how much of a bitch it is to deal with. When I went to Pedders to get a quote for just springs and installation it was $690 and then I had the guy tell me that its because cressidas are not a good car to do up![]()
Viper: Where did you get your springs from that seems to be very cheap even for a trade price, I think that the rrp for kings is about $350
I paid
Front shocks $180 pair
Rear shocks $210 pair
Best price I have had for kings is $220 for the set of four.
Just go to ebay, search for king springs or kybs and then email the seller for a quote.
Try a few sellers and then choose the best. Just make sure they have good feedback and buy with paypal.
