Ah OK it needs an adapter plate.
How far off are the holes for exhaust gases?
Is it better to have them line up exact with a custom manifold or is close enough work OK?
Hi everyone well I don't know anything about the 3t motor but I just brought 1 haha it's stock with stock computer and ct20 will be installing it in next couple off weeks and will let use know how it goes on the dyno when done!

Steeko the tiny bit of mis-alignment is not affecting anything as the larger oval port on the SR20 manifold still covers the 3T exhaust port perfectly.
As far as it working OK I made 270rwhp on 22psi and the 'system' was still pushing more power at 38psi when the engine broke. A pressure calculation says 35psi should have been 350rwhp so power potential with this setup does not seem to be an issue.
Plus side is it is CHEAP!!!
Cheers,

479RWHP on 50psi and 70psi hasn't broken her at the track!
you had me at 'cheap'hehe
ok, interested now. I'm guessing an adapter plate wont break the bank from a metal fab joint?
do you still use a stock 3TGTE exhaust gasket (like I have been buying SW Motorsports) ??
I'm guessing i will also need a SR20 exhaust gasket aswell due to using an adapter plate.
what turbo options are available as bolt on for this SR20 manifold?
I have a T3/T4 hybrid brand new sitting collecting dust
and where is a decent place to buy one of these manifolds you're using ?

Steeko I've got no idea how much it would cost to have an adapter made up professionally...
The manifold(s) that I use are the common ebay items such as this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Si...item1e7521cfa6
I have never used gaskets just silicon smear on all sides and it works just fine.
I have braced the dump pipe to the bellhousing with a tab to avoid putting undue stess on the stainless tube from the exhaust swinging off it.
Those manifolds accept either T3 or T4 turbine housings so the field is wide open for power adder choices!

Thanx so much for the info. It def sounds like an easier and cheaper method than a custom manifold.
Plus the t3 is relatively cheap, hopefully it is reliable.
U don't wanna make a copy of the adapter plate for a few $$$ ?
There may be some others on here chasing the same thing.

Any 3tgte experts know if a 2tg flywheel is the same diameter as a 3tgte?
My 3tgte came with a light steel flywheel from the importer many years ago and is in need of replacement.
Kameari make a race flywheel for a 2tg which would fit, but I dont want to reduce clutch diameter if its smaller than a 3tgte.
I have a standard 3t flywheel here, and it seems to be a different size again.
Ive been told mine might be a TRD item and very hard to replace.
Any help before I start ordering parts would be most apprecieated .
2t flywheel should be same outer diameter but has 200mm cluctch, 3tgte fly should be same outer but has 225mm clutch
You can get an OS Giken fly and clutch combo which is 225mm and would be nice. Flywheel is 4.4kg and the whole fly + clutch setup is 10.55kg

Thanks for the info.
Ive just found a site that makes an alloy flywheel to suit the 3tgte. $330us.
Amazing, seems more and more companies are making parts to keep these old engines alive.

Just found it by chance.
FIDANZA ALUMINIUM FLYWHEEL 3TGTE
BY PROJECT MOTORSPORT. $331.76.
They also have a listing for 3SGTE and 4AGE.
Shipping from the states is killer though, I just bought a Fidanza flywheel and set of Manley conrods for my 3S and shipping came to $145, and that was just using US Postal Service not UPS or DHL or any of them..
Happiness is a warm Celica
or if you're happy with an 8 or 9kg flywheel. can use one from the 1G engines. 3tgte and many 1g-eu share the same 8kg fly. the others seem to be around 9kg with an extra rib on the clutch side of the ring gear. just check it's not the gen3 turbo 236mm type.
ring gear and bolt pattern are same between the T engines.
2t(geu) = 200mm clutch,
3t-c = 200 or 218mm?
3tgte 225mm.

I know this was a while ago but I've only just read all 55 pages over the last 3 nights at work... Just wish i started using the wealth of knowledge in these forums more than 5 years ago when i first started my engine conversion, would have saved a lot of wasted time and money over the years!
Thats some bloody good figures there Turbotoy, but how driveable was that on the street with that turbo setup?
Cheers Josh
hi everyone iv just done a 3tgte conversion in my ra 40 allmost done. just cant remember what vac hose to block 2 stop the fuel from cutting out when ova boosting..also if anyone in perth that can tune these engines or even know someone that can wire them? if not im screwed lol cheers
