Yeah, if you were going to use TA22 inserts in an XT130 strut, i was thinking XT130 shocks in TA22 struts.
Either way, the extra capacity of a decent 48mm shock rather than the 45mm will make a difference.

I finished gathering all the parts from the US variants to the quoted Aus. models.
After a trip to local steel shop, a run to the parts store, and a few hours
in the garage...
confirm this setup fits under some 13" wheels.
Mine are Aero steel race wheel 13x8 (per club rules)
Also fits under 14" "snowflakes"
and a pic showing the visual difference of the stub axles.

Turbo flutter. : Its like a burp and a hiccup at the same time.
one interesting thing I encountered with this conversion many years ago, was i had to swap the (then) RT132 struts i used from left to right. thus my calipers are on the front side of the car and not the back.
the problem i had was the caliper fouled on the steering knuckle also.
grinding holes on brakes/grinding calipers will equal certain death. do not do this.
yeah well i might've been bad idea but i know a fella who has used this setup reliably for about 4 yrs now..
but anyways considering the work going into my car i will probably look into either getting the mx62 one sleeved to fit the KE30 balljoint or.. just get new custom ones made up.
When you say things like that, you need to remember that the Americans reliably sold houses to people with no income and no job with massive debts for the purchase for many years (probably more than 4). Since then, many innocent people have gone into ruin because of somebody else's mistake. Don't let it be you that ruin's an innocent person's life because you have done something dodgy.

Doing the things that aren't popular... cause being popular and being good are often distinctly different.
The ke30s have the same balljoint as an ra60 celica and the ra60 has the same steering arm to strut bolt spacing as MX62. Do it properly and get some RA60/RA65/SA63 power steering arms and you will not be risking your/others' lives and you will gain some turn to turn lock to boot. PM me if you can't find a set

Are RA60/65 and SA63 power steering arms interchangeable with RA40 items? If so then i could use these on my XT/RA/MX upgrade and get a bit more steering lock.

WTF? They still have steering arms like other strut equipped toyotas. No, RA40 are 85mm bolt spacing like _T13_ coronas. AE86 powersteer arms are 10mm shorter then RA60 powersteer items and are the shortest item for 85mm bolt spacings without going aftermarket. But be prepared to pay for them. People seem to have problems with them clashing with lower control arms in some applications though. Next shortest in an 85mm application is TA22 arms

So, for moar lock when using the XT130 struts, im best off using TA22 arms?
