Anyone know of a reliable (local) source for valve guides for the RG? I've found the usual suspects overseas, but I haven't found someone locally yet. Any suggestions?

    Cheers

If you cant find guides surely a local engine shop would be able to k line the guides,

I've done heaps of k liners in all sorts of diffrent heads but you have to make sure there is plenty of meat in the guide and wont break when its bored out!

Have you spoken to Jhh performance over in Timms crt in woodridge they always do my 18rg heads. I never been unhappy with there effort.

Last time they change it to 8mm vavles stems from a 4g63 evo motor so finding valves is alot easier now.

I got my new valve guides from Toyota.
    They were still readily available.

ACL also do valve guides for 18RGs.
They are listed in the catalogue.
Most auto parts stores i.e. sprint auto parts will have an ACL catalogue.

Oh, you're in Dubai, that might change things.

Do you need them over here, or over there?

I'm sure someone you know could buy them and post them to you.

Just had a chat to a guy in my car club who is slotting his 18rg back into his ta22 hillclimb car.

He broke the gear on the end of the auxiliary shaft that drives the oil pump and dissy. Anyone got any suggestions where he can get one quickly?

Javal sent you a PM - he needs the gear rather than the shaft. No idea if they are the same Ian... maybe gurus here can tell us. Its for Terry with the TA22 hill climber. I think you probably know him
