    There is only one way to make them cool, and that's a 152E and widebody;

    Yeah the coupes can look quite good. I think the Series 1 (roundlight) is oddly good looking, with the series 2 having a bit more squared off 80's style.

    Hi,

    the rubber engine mounts are the same for each side. It's cast iron/steel mount that actually bolts to the block that are different. The longer one of them should go on the passengers side.

    well i took the steel mounts off the 18R block, and put them on same way on the 18RG
    Just gotta fit the rubber mounts to the steel bits, then drop it in the bay. SO your saying it dont matter which rubber mount goes on which side? cause one is near a inch longer

    Hi,

    ?????????????

    I've never had any differences between the rubber mounts before and i've swapped over 10 18r's......... It's the steel mount that should be different. REgardless, the longer one goes on the passengers side because the block has the pump drive shaft on the drivers side which makes that side of the block further out from the crank than the passengers.............

    Make sense?

    Hi,

    in the top two pics they are in the right position. What i was trying emphasise is that you have the softish rubber mount and then there is a bracket that goes between that and the block. It is held on by two bolts at the block and one bolt goes through the actual engine mount rubber. The engine mount rubber actually has the bolt fabbed into it all (from memory anyway)

    yeah i got it, those rubber mounts can only go on 1 of 2 ways lol

    Ahhwell, should be nearly ready to drop in, just have to get a 1/4 inch 17mm socket for my torque wrench.

    Recommended to put Loctite on the flywheel bolts? was googling it, most say dont worry cause of the fine pitch..

    Loctite yes. Tighten the bolts to half torque first, then individually pull them out and loctite to prevent excess loctite from getting between the crank and flywheel.

    Different brands of engine mounts can have different shapes. I have seen ones that are rather thick, and much harder to get into place. My mounts are a bit thicker than yours, and weren't the easiest to rest in place, but do a better job than some that I got a number of years ago.
