interested.......any more conversions done with these
wow those 4 years went by quickly, so has anything changed in that time in terms of bellhousing availability? I know there is a fair selection of aftermarket parts available now in terms of oil pumps and so on.

i had a ride in a celica "powered" by one of these, very ho hum. i reckon a fresh 4AGE would be quicker (in a lightish car of course which teh celica isnt really)
no the celica isn't, I would like to know what their real weight actually is.
1100 kg i think, the last celicas are quicker then the first gen gtfours
only when you are absolutely belting it around the place at the rev limiter... day to day , point and squirt in traffic and the GT4 is quicker, in my opinion.
However in a clubman, the 2ZZ is very sweet indeed... 500kg lighter than the Celica really makes a huge difference as you'd expect.

oh yeah you have to rape the ring gear out of it, but still.
i have to bring in my 2 cents. my wife has a 1999 celica, i drive a 1999 nissan stagea (rb25det neo, 186kw at all 4 wheels) and my wife flogs my ass everyday.
Looking for a new toy. If you have something 18r powered let me know.
RIP, where ever you are :- 1974 celica, 3tgte and 186.5hp at 6500rpm
the next thing for the stag is a new turbo and an ecu, all the normal mods are already done.

OK, so 4 years have passed, has anyone got one in RWD configuration, as the thread title asks?
I had a Corolla Sportivo and it made me sad on two counts:
1: It just felt like a well engineered, dependable mass produced car up till 6000rpm, unispiring, efficient and reliable and adequete enough to keep up with traffic.
2: After 6000rpm is where it really shined. It was an animal but this made me sad also as I wanted to keep it over 6000rpm everywhere i went and this is not condusive to one keeping their licence.... If you were to drive one and get it up on lift in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th gear, it was simply scary and exhilarating how fast it pulled 1200 odd kg along. It really is a race engine first and foremost adapted to street use and to just drive it as an every day commuter is a waste.
If you could bring the lift point down a little, far enough to use with a close ratio 5 or 6 speed (Does something like that exist in RWD layout?) in a sub 1000kg car it might just be a whole heap of fun....

easiest way is using an MR2 platform.
this is off topic but I want to know if there is a rwd version of a Honda K20
