I think I need to wire up my Jaycar DFA, get my car to a dyno, and spend a little time breaking things
15psi with a nice DFA tune should do something, I hope. I wonder what power i'll make though? I've never put my car on a dyno.
I ran 107mph!!!Originally Posted by SIKTOY
so my dyno run is definatly reading lower than it actually is cos thats in a full body 323i bmw in full street trim with full tank of pump fuel 36 degrees air temp and 205 everyday street tyres
it was my one and only pass too as on the second i broke something in the diff, et was 13.1 but that means jack S#*!#T the mph tells the real story

210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.
Time to update the thread. It appears I was wrong. You can make more than 170kw on the stock turbo's, even when the ambient temp is 42 degrees !

blake
Boost is on the right hand axis, looks like it peaked to almost 17psi but then settled to around 15psi.
GODDAMN!, LOL, looking good but!

Wow, on Std turbos, that is excellent...well done... Could you give us more info on your set up please????
BLK1G-GTE,
If you check my members rides thread for my RA28 (Link in Signiture) it has all the details of the engine package and more discussion on the power output.

Pube - your dyno graph is a perfect example of why engine management should be used FTW. Makes good power with the stock ECU but if you could trim that AFR back to high 11's or flat 12's it'd do wonders for your midrange.
Personally I hate those HKS twiddly things but if you get them very cheap and are handy with wiring they can work well as a stopgap... but you'll always get a better result from a good aftermarket ECU install.
Must.... avoid.... urge... to... upgrade... parts I haven't.... used.... yet.....
Note that was in response to a dyno graph on the first page. I didnt' realise there were 7 pages in between... and can't be arsed reading them.

i just upgraded my 1ggte to a single turbo (t04e) with a 3" dump pipe, using a Y pipe i baught off IN 05 NT, it made 200.8 rwkw on 15psi, also have a fmic and a HKS FCON piggy back. Im gettin a ems stinger installed tomorrow with some 7mgte injectors and a bosch 040 internal fuel pump so hopefully should gain a fair bit more power ill update tomorrow,
if anyone was intrested in the HKS FCON send me a pm, i dyno'd the 1ggte at 175rwkw at 15psi then after installing the FCON 186.2rwkw at 16psi on standard turbo's
thats just to compare the power curves between stocko's and a gt3071,
enjoy, blake
