hey mate.. here are the pics you PM'd me for..

Firstly we fitted s13 gear to the front... and chopped the springs at the back.... obviously this made the handling epically shit.. especially with a welded diff.. so we stuck some stiff ma61 struts in the back (from memory) and some 14kg 4WD springs my bro got from work.. this worked really well.. unfortunately i couldnt tell you what they were out of.. and neither could he.. he found them in the junk bin of his old work..

anyway here are the pics.. i recommend s13 gear for the front.. but it depends on what you are after..

you can see with the way s13 strut tops line up, you can get heaps of extra caster..

man i miss that old boonga...

oh, and here is a video for you of what cut springs at the back worked like..

Cut springs worked fine on my old z10 tho, prob depends on how u cut em
never think using 4wd springs, 14kg thats pretty damn stiff eh?
sounds like thats the way to go!

with kingspring they only lower the car by 1.5 inch and they not that stiff......aint shit

    Hi,

    LOL OC!!!

I usually delete poorly named tech threads. I should of done it here too.

Instead I'll rename it properly and with correct grammar.

    Hi,

    No.

Let's get back on topic. What options are you going to do to lower your suspension?

love the honesty. as i said iv tryed cut springs and i would have stuck with that if not for a yellow sticker and i just put a 1g-gte in the car and manuel box (originaly auto) so if i do get pulled over i dont want to have to answer for my suspension as well as all the other shit. so, so fare the ma springs are sounding like my best option....

    Hi,

Agreed. Cut springs are not a good option. Won't the change in engine necessitate an engineers certificate? Or at least some modification to your rego to show the engine has changed?

    Hi,

Can't you just put in super-lows? I assume you want to drop the ride height and not worry about the extra expense of coil-overs or costly handling mods to the suspension?
