Modified Historics – The Classic Vehicle Scheme (CVS)

DISCLAIMER: As modified historics has the capacity to carry a higher risk to the club, we will only support modified historic applications that are within the interests of the club. Applicants must have a history of active participation in club events, and must abide by the code of conduct. In addition vehicles on CVS are required to be entered into our ToyotaFest show each October long weekend.

The Toymods Car Club is an active participant in the NSW Classic Vehicle registration Scheme (CVS).

Key Points:

  • # Your Vehicle must be 30 years or Older
  • # Your vehicle must be garaged in NSW
  • # You must be an active participant within the Toymods Car Club
  • # You must be a financial member of the Toymods Car Club
  • # You must have a History of Club Level Participation (2 years or more)

What to bring to the Toymods Historic Plates registrar when you apply for (or renew) your CVS registration.

New Registration:

  • # Your vehicle for inspection
  • # Proof of current financial membership
  • # Completed Toymods Historic Vehicle Application Form
  • # A  Valid Blueslip (not out of date) for the vehicle in question.
  • # Your Classic Vehicle Declaration Form for us to stamp
  • # CMC Checklist of Requirements form
  • # A copy of your vehicles Engineering Certificate (if it has one)
  • # $20 for Toymods Admin fee

For your CVS renewal:

  • # Your vehicle for inspection
  • # Proof of current financial membership
  • # Completed Toymods Historic Vehicle Application Form
  • # A  Valid Pink slip (Handwritten Manual variety and not out of date) for the vehicle in question
  • # Your Classic Vehicle Declaration Form for us to stamp
  • # CMC Checklist of Requirements form
  • # A copy of your vehicles Engineering Certificate (if it has one)
  • # $20 for Toymods Admin Fee

The Basic Process:

  • # Vehicles applying for or renewing their CVS registration must be inspected by the Toymods Plates registrar each year.
  • # Vehicle inspections ONLY take place at the Monthly Toymods Social meetings (3rd Monday of the Month)
  • # You will bring your vehicle and the completed paperwork with you for the inspection each year.
  • # You will pay Toymods its $20 Admin fee (per vehicle)
  • # Assuming all is in order we can stamp your completed Classic Vehicle Declaration form.
  • # You will pay the CMC directly (Direct Deposit) for the CMC Plate admin fee ($25 per vehicle)
  • # You will Snail mail the CMC your Club Stamped and Completed Declaration Form, The CVS Checklist of Requirements and a COPY of your Pink Slip – Emails and Scans of these form will Not be accepted (This is an RMS ruling).

  • # The CMC will snail mail you back your approved/Double stamped CVS paperwork to the address you put on your form.
  • # The CVS application process will therefore take more than a few days to process, no we can’t speed this up so do not leave your renewal to the last minute.
  • # Reminder: For new registrations your Blue Slip guy needs to complete part of the Application for Conditional Registration Form for you that you take to the RMS.

Reminder: When enjoying your CVS Registered Vehicle, be it privately or attending when Club events, your vehicle is representing our club and linked directly to Toymods via its registration.
