    Wayne and his WAYNOFX Celica has received his second confirmation letter and is definately in Motorvation...
    as the rest of his crew didn't get in, he has transferred his entry to OST.

    So thats 3 definates thus far for OST...
    a far cry from the original 17 entrants we had..

    While the rest of us patiently await by the letter box (well I am anyway).. Ross (casino_7) has been on the phone daily trying to get updates on OST behalf.
    He's gonna give me a call if he gets a straight answer out of them, and I will then post an update.
    Ross is known to winge up there with the best of annoying housewives - so hopefully his persistance pays off and we get a few more OST entrants in.

    Angry Re: OST @ Motorvation 2007

    Think I'll try giving them a call to ask what's going on myself as well. Find out one way or another and get my money back if they say I'm not in. Having been given an entrant number, etc., it's a bit rich to think they can drag it out like this having already charged the entry fee.

    Ok.. found this on perthperformance... thort i might share some info i didnt edit the post so yeh. Im not sure how old news this is.

    "Okay guys heads up here it is..

    I have spoken to the head honcho down at the plex and have changed you ALL to perthperformance.com YAY GOOD NEWS

    now the bad news they have finalised ALL but 80 spots for the event and all those in have been notified, those with out a letter have not yet been accepted but also not rejected either
    This i have confirmed as NIK, HERMIE and ROB
    Dave and blake dont get down they are finalising 80 remaining spaces after fridays close of entry. Apparently 510 entrant remain fighting for those spots....

    They cant tell me why yours havent been accepted yet other than that it could be one of the following reasons
    * NO photo
    * POOR Qaulity photo
    * Car too standard
    * Too many of that car... (so howmany aristos i wonder)

    ie REX club putting in 1000 cars again hahahahahaha

    have more boring info if you have questions post back and i'll try to answer.

    ANYONE ELSE not mentioned who believes they had attempted to enter with us im sorry to say you missed out A) did not list club or put wrong club or B) sorry to say you did not make the first or second cut which eliminated apparently 500 cars already..

    COnsidering they say they were allowing 800 cars and 80 left cut 500 and have 500 to decide on my maths says that is just chy of 2000 applicants Sh**!!!!! "

    I tell you what - I'll be pushing for a free entry ticket if I am dropped. Their behavour in this is pretty unprofessional (assuming they are rejecting people who have already been accepted the first time)

    Well Ross finally spoke to one of the Motorvation organisers... it still sounds like they have no idea with only a few weeks till the show!

    Apparently, the story they gave him is that if you received an original confirmation letter, and your car is pretty neat - then you have a 95% chance of still being in the show.. however they wouldn't confirm who was in and who was out over the phone.

    So looks like we continue to wait.

    Thumbs down Re: OST @ Motorvation 2007

    All I can say is they better be prepared for some angry people if those who were previously told they were in are out - even with a refund.

    They shouldn't have sent out the original confirmations, and they shouldn't have taken people's money until they were definitely accepted. I will be expecting a refund, and they'll be lucky if people (like Luke) don't expect free entry or something to compensate for being stuffed around and the lost use of the money they've had for months.

    What if we, as a club, had spent significant money on banners, bonsais, etc. for our display only to find out at this late stage many of our numbers get turned down?

    Not good!

    Ross told them that we have spent a lot of time and money on our display!! So we better come up with something now! hahaha

    Also, another one of my sources has told me that all the rest of the letters should be mailed out by tonight. So check your mail boxes tomorrow.

    Apparently they are going to use the centre of the speedway track to allow more cars to be on display.. they got room for about 700 cars now..

    remember last years event, we could have fit another car or two in the space provided. and perth wrx could have fit an entire car club with the marquee they bought (and only had one car in there for half the show.
    maybe smaller allocated space would allow the 700 number. then add that to the speedway grassed area.

    Meh.
    I still haven't gotten a letter. I'll call tomorrow and see what's up.
