    Default Standard 1G-GTE Dyno.

I've spent the weekend going over the engine bay with a fine tooth comb to try and sort some annoying quibbles. I found a few issues which helped things however my question is this.

My Last few Dyno read outs go very rich on boost, Somthing in the back of my mind says that there may be 7M-GTE injectors in there instead of 1G injectors. What would happen if you ran 7M injectors instead of the factory ones on a basically stock engine.

The first is with a problem with the BOV not holding

This is running with out the BOV

Do 1G's come with a standard BOV?

What brand were you using? Should've just tightened the spring.

it's certanly running uber rich ... must make your eyes water when doing the run.

    7mge (yellow) = 295cc @ 300kPa
    7mge (ligh-green) = 315 @ 290kPa
    7mgte (black) = 430 @ w55kPa
    1g-gte = ??

i think if you had the wrong injectors, it would be running rich all over the map - power runs wont be done in closed loop so O2 correction doesn't factor in.

    1G-GTE = 315

Generally the same as the 7M jobs. I'm just wondering if all 1G's run this rich stock.

Other stock (boosted) 1G are getting up in the 150 and as high as 170rwkw

Out of 3 engines in this car they all run in the same area, the only common denominator is the intake plenum and injectors.

maybe you could firstly check for other intake leaks..... but im assuming this was checked during you close inspection.

i think JCMF's 1g AFR's dropped off the chart as well

have you considered tampering with the spring tension wheel in the AFM???

Yeah I found 1 leak that was fairly significant, and as a reault the car is alot nicer at idle.

I tightened the spring a few clicks. She's now a little more responsive off the line.

I seem now to have an intermittant fuel delivery issue as well, but I'm 95% sure this is unrelated to anything I've done, I'm pointing that at either a blocked fuel filter or somthing in the wiring to the fuel pump.

It was frankies fag turbo dyno readout I was looking for, I just haven't been able to find another standard dyno readout.

I'd like to extract a little more power to see if I can break into the 13's.

Yeah pube yours was one of the 170 kw ones I was refering to, there is another one that I'm aware of as well.

Are you running a significantly big intercooler on yours?
and what about tuneing anything special with the timing or any thing?

Comparing yours to mine they look like completely different engines

Yeah I did on the weekend to compensate for adjusting the Spring. Still requires further tweaking as it idles a little rich.

From the several I have tried they all do the same thing, but that has very little to do with how rich it runs under power...
