How do electric motors work? They turn the wheels of course. Go read up about the new NSX and a heap of other cars using electric assisted AWD.

Agreed the 4AG 20V is going to suck for torque in your application. I'd be thinking a 3S BEAMS would be perfect displacement vs power, but even they need a bit of poke as well.

There's an awesomely done RA28 beams in your country, go search for it on speedhunters.com for inspiration. Not too sure how well it fits in a TA, but an RA it basically just needs a modified front crossmember out of a KE70 and a little bit of tweaking elsewhere.

thanks guy and celica77 I do not have a clue how to upload the pictures on toymods , how do you do it?? also its nothing to do with being a student its that a good friend of mine called ifi is a celica specialist and he knows the type of work I want done and he said it will never drive the way I was thinking and the spec of job I wanted doing would not be up to the standard I wanted, because this conversion is using a 70s shell on a modern car and the celica was not balanced to handle that sort of power or modification. speaking to him he reckons the best conversion is the 1uz with the throttle bodies , he said it would fit nicely drive nicely and the spec of work I want done would be achievable so that is the only reason why I have changed my decision, but if there was someone out there that could do the work converting my car to the standard I wanted it to be than it would be a different story, I still havnt had a reply from west coast customs so atm I am going with the 1uz but if a proper person is found than may be the awd will be carried out, thank god I havnt got a problem with money so I want to do something nice, I dnt like jobs where people miss bits out do short cuts and you can see all the welding and bits sticking out , I like the work to be done at a high standard. thanks for your comments and I can not find a 1uz thread can anyone send me a link and give me the instructions of how to upload pictures thanks.

I know the guy with the beams ra28 sajid Mughal he owns jap performance parts spoke to him many times, even he celica is not to the standard I like, he misses allot out and trys to cut corners if you look at his car the engine bay paint is different to the body I dnt like jobs like that, I don't wana use the beams engine either it will be a 1uz or if someone comes from heaven and can carry out my awd conversion.

hi mate I am not putting flares on iv explained already in the thread, I dnt like flares I want to widen the wings and quarters like that guy with the v8 black celica on youtube who does a burnout. I know what I am going to do to widen the car I will not ruin the lines of the car I love the lines of the car , the car will be the way the e30 m3 is its not going to have crappy flares on, when its done u will see and I dnt like ra28 so I wouldn't buy that , I love the ta23/ra23

You could use inverted flares and go for the reverse bow-tie effect, chances are this will direct wind away from your 8 throttles though, so might not be ideal.

Have you considered the rarely pursued 9th throttle body option? People tend to mount them upside down in the bottom of the drivers seat, then fill them with shaved ham and drive around with no underpants on - looking for speedbumps.
