Default 1JZ auto loom vs manual loom - how big a diffrence?

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask how diffrent a auto 1JZ engine loom would be to a manual one?

I am ultimatly going to a aftermarket ecu and going to convert the motor to a manual box but just wanted to know if this is a good starting base or if its best to hunt down a manual loom?

    Cheers guys.

If you have a look at my wiki you should be able to see some of the differences (in JZZ30 at least).

The differences are really only a few more wires and plugs, they are not major.

If I had an auto loom I wouldn't be looking for a manual one. I'd either just put the unused auto plugs out of the way, or the other option is to strip them out of the loom (but I don't really see the benefit to be honest!)

    Cheers

Just buy a long loom to suit your aftermarket ecu
Make complete new loom with it and be done with it
Fit new injector plugs and terminals and same with coils
Just reuse coolant and crank and cam plugs and wire
Or I just recrimp with new terminals if plugs aren't to bad
U will have a loom half as fat if u make a new loom from scratch
I just did a 1j into an s13 and took half a day to make and have it running

Auto Loom has Neutral starter switch.
Wiring + Plug for Automatic No.2 Speed Sensor
    Wiring for gearbox solenoids.
    Wiring+Plug for Autobox speed sensor.

If you want to run a manual, Auto loom is ok, but not other way around.
