    Hey Mitch,

If you break your T-series on Sunday, I could use it to build the LSD into

Only joking! I want you to have a good run on Sunday so I can see the beastie in flight.

I'm still drooling over the Hopper Stoppers brake upgrade - one day!

There's an upgrade kit for the early Celica (strut type):

TOYOTA COROLLA CELICA AND CORONA EARLY STRUT TYPE (ask for details)
    Included in Kit:
    • Pair 290 mm Disc Rotors and Pair Twin Piston Calipers
    • Set Semi – Metallic Brake Pads
    • Caliper mount kit with rings, spacers and fasteners
    • Pair wheel bearing sets & Grease caps
    • Pair Conversion hubs made from K1045 Billet steel fitted with bearing cups and Ford Pattern wheel studs
    • Pair custom Brake Hoses and copper washers
    • Full Fitting Instructions
You need to have at least 15" rims to fit this conversion and you must fit a 1" bore
Master cylinder to obtain the best pedal feel.
Please consult us for advice for your application

I'm keen to do something along these lines to the TA22

Here's the actual info sheet. They are about $1200. Perth Brake Parts sells them.

Gene if your chasing a T series diff to fit your LSD to i have 2 sitting here. I think 1 has stuffed axle seals, but i think the other is ok all round. Although i'd assume you would test fir it all up then just end up using the centre in your axle?

Anyway its here if you want one.........or two

Matty, yeah... I think the best way to do it is to use the spare diff to get the LSD centre setup, and then transfer it over to the diff in my car. So, I may just take you up on that offer, although Jenelle's not too keen on me having more parts lying around

"Sorry dear, it's just for a few weeks..."

    "Frank?"...

This is the reply I got from Hopper Stoppers a while back (he also said Perth Brakes should charge the same), but freight from Vic would be about $60 if you ordered it direct from Hoppers:

We do a 290 diameter by 28 thick twin piston upgrade for the TA22 front strut, based on AU3 XR8 vented Falcon rotors and calipers adapted to the Toyota strut with our custom steel hubs and brackets.

Rotors are bought as blanks so 4 or 5 stud pattern is possible

All parts are included, nothing else to buy. (Only complete kits are sold, no loose hubs or brackets.)

Kit has hubs, bearings, seals, rotors, twin piston PBR calipers, pads ,brackets, bolts, spacers and hoses, at $1100 with smooth rotors,

$1200 slotted, $1250 drilled and slotted.

Calipers can be red, yellow or black or straight alloy all same price.

Your Simmons 15 inch wheels will fit but sometimes we find the ring of nuts holding the split rims together just touch our calipers and a 8mm wheel spacer is needed.

You should also fit a 1 inch master cylinder , we have a bolt on item at $220.

Adjustable prop valve may be needed depending on which diff/rear brakes you run or maybe we can tune rear brakes with different size wheel cylinders?

I think it's also possible for a Camry 2 Brake Booster to be used on a TA22 (according to another Toymods post) - part number 47201-06190? Wonder if Loz could get a price on one for me Matty?

    Ahhhh, obvious really...

Hi Nathan, I don't have the pistons sizes. Just shoot off an email to Hoppers, they'll give you an answer.

Thanks Matty and Loz. I'm sure I'll be able to hide the diffs somewhere where J won't find them

I would be interested in finding out more about the adjustable brake prop. valve in the Hoppers Stoppers package, especially when the Hilux rear axle goes onto the back on my car.
