Thumbs up Re: MISFIT'z Classic Celica Cruise

Ahhhhh, you've gone for the 16th!

Well, at least that doesn't clash with the MaxAction event. Could be a busy car weekend, with this, Clint's coffee convergence on the Sunday morning and then the OST MaxAction team in the afternoon.

I'll see if I can Mitch.T along (if he doesn't see this himself), some of the other guys he knows like Stepho, etc. I don't think Ian Dawsons rotary TA22 will be street legal by then.

There were a few pre-80's Celicas at the OST BBQ cruise earlier this year, so hopefully some of those guys hear about it.

Is it a similar cruise format to previous cruises? Be good to get the chance to form a bit of a decent convoy on along the way and stop for some good photo shots - if there's more than just SPIDA and MISFIT there that is

Count me in, I can't let a real old Toyota cruise pass by.

Awesome Gene, I tried to make a date that would not clash with other events. I pm'd Mitch a little while back about it so hopefully he can tag along too.

As for format, its really going to be get as much interest as possible and focus it more on meet and greet and photoshoot rather than a full on cruise. Just for the first one anyway.

    Pfft Pre '78 ;P

Cannot go anyways 16th is Colbs birthday, so taking her out. Even if I could get away with "surprise! I'm taking you on a cruise!" I dont fancy being able to get a woman 7 months pregnant into the RA40.

Yeah, I was trying to "gloss" over the exclusion of your RA40, which is cool and the pre-78 thing, but I guess it's to try and get all those Mustang style and coupe early model Celicas together.

The TA22 isn't too good at transporting the elderly, pregnant or non-contortionists (if that's how you spell it) either. Taking my Mum and her sister to hospital once was an experience, being slightly larger ladies

I've given up on trying to drive more than 3 of us to lunch at work too in the TA22 - I need my leg room and the poor sucker who sits behind the driver ends-up with their legs around their ears

like that scenario is any different to any other toyota coupe.

    "emergency rear seats only"

ive contemplated taking mine out completely so i dont need an excuse.

looking forward to seeing pics, i love first gen's, but its a pity im not allowed to come

I will be there, with the RA28, just got the roof lining redone and it has come up a treat.
soon as this cruise is done its of to the panelbeaters for those pesky spots of rust in the doors and hatch to be done properly.
