plugs are fine pulled em today for a look! regapped them, seems to not have a miss much anymore but just turns off without warning when temp gets up then only way to idle is with the go peddal soo friggin confusing
check the plugs , colour and condition.. might of burnt an electrode , or if they are white , might be running way lean and not getting enough fuel (surging rather than pinging )

I'm having same issue. Any luck?
My 1jz is missing up in the revs (basically +2500rpm) only once it's hot, and then also not holding idle from then on.
I've done ecu swap (std ecu), new coils, new plugs, new 2 x cam and crank angle sensor. Also had my ecu recapped (as it had leaky capacitors) with no change.
So now I'm trying to source another ignitor to try, also going to try change the fuel filter with a new one and swap map sensor (std 1bar is in it).
I'd try the fuel filter, just in case there is a fuel supply issue up in the revs.
The only error code I'm getting is EFI 13... which points to cam sensors or ignition related. I was get EFI 14 as well intermittently which the new coils/plugs seem to have cleared up.
Well i fixed my idling issue it was my TPS (throttle posistion sensor) asoon as the car warmed up the TPS hadnt been ajusted correctly and would just stall. played with that and now is fine. i replaced ,igniter,fuel filter,coilpacks,plugs litterally everything and yer ended up being the TPS.
