Default EDIT: 1jz runs rough when warm!! help

my 1jz has a weird problem recently i cant seem to fix! jza61 running haltech e6x and 3 bar map,big bosch fuelpump has been tuned to 200kw

when engines cold it runs 100% and boost fine (just before running temp) asoon as the temp nears its normal temp the car wont idle at all unless i keep it idling with the peddal, a pretty bad miss starts occuring and then is unable to boost (Fine before say 2800rpm) without sounding like a machine gun going off and feels like a boostcut..

every where i look people seem to only have trouble when the engines cold but this is the opposite :S
i have replace igniter, coilpacks(near new) and new clips, most vacume lines, new cooler piping, another TPS and properlly ajusted with a multimetre its running a haltech 3 bar map so havnt chnaged that.

what sensors or sumthing will cause it to do this only when the engine warms up?

anyhelp would be great i need it on the road asap

a sensor could cause this.. Sounds like the car needs to go on a dyno to be honest to find out whats happening inside the computer when it cuts.. Could be fuel pressure or boost related, and whats a power run worth these days like less than $80 its worth every dollar

First up do you know how to run diagnostics? Put the ecu in diag mode and see if it gives you any errors, will hopefully help pinpoint the issue more quickly.

    Things to try:
    * Swap in another ECU and see if the problem goes away.
    * Do you have a fuel ECU? Bridge the Fp and 12v in diag plug and then go for a drive.
    * Test igniter by swapping in another one.

Try those first, then I would do sensors as they get harder to source and change.

    * Crank angle sensor would be the first check, then CAM angle sensors, change both.

are you certain the new set of coil packs are good condition

then ide suggest asking someone who knows haltechs about the ecu and if there are any funny settings within it that can fail etc...

depends how the haltech has been wired up... if its a piggy back its possible to test with another ecu... if not then another haltech might work but tunes will be different etc...

UPDATED FIRST POST: but heres more

Okay soo after getting back into this i replaced all the boost controller lines as they were all loose!! its better but worse ha..car now has a really surging idle and stalls often also has a pretty bad miss, can now boost alot better under load but only if im gentle with the peddal if i smash it to the floor it sounds like a machine gun and feels like the turbo's free spool! boosting but the cars not pulling??

Any more idea's?? how do i check error codes through the haltech?

really sounds like some sort of ignition breakdown to me...

also can you confirm the car ran well before you got it?

might be tuned poorly or something
just cos someone has a 200rwkw dyno sheet doesnt really mean a thing

I had a similar problem where the idle would stumble a little, and underboost and high load it would missfire. It turned out to be nois on the ECU/Sensor signal reulsting in unwanted ignition events.

Run the ECU earth lead to the battery and problem was fixed, idle smoothed out and miss is gone completely. Look into you ECU earthing, sensor earthing and sensor shielding, may be a similar problem

midnight i was gunna buy this car of the previous owner a while back with the same tune it has now and it was fine back then.

just noticed another thing on cold start the car seems to idle fine for about 5+ minutes but after it warms up a little it start to miss and just die randomly then gets to the point where it wont idle at all

Yer lines new, but the map sensor is the only main thing i havnt changed as its running a haltech 3 bar soo ill have to buy a new one just to test it :S weird thing i have noticed is car seems 100% when its cold but asoon as the temp goes up a few bars from cold all the shit starts happening
