my new bosch BOV on my old supercharged v6 vn used to be noisy as also. it used to vent at idle!
so your turbo couldn't drain enough oil when it was plumbed into the factory return for the oil cooler? i guess that foils my idea then, bugger, that is a pity. will be a bastard to get the sump off in RWD format grrrrrrrrr.at least in FWD you have the front and rear gearbox mounts to hold the engine in and can drop that middle thing out.

nice work with the brazing on there too. keep an eye on it ; should be fine.

Just opened up the BOV for a look as you do when your not sure all seems to be fine !!!
it as a bleed by hole ??? (not sure why it needs that when it stays open till the vac drops ??) hooked it to the vac and it opens and shuts fine so all good !!!!

Also got my Lc-1 working on the lappy so just need someone to drive it while i tune !!!

Grega that's not braze it's soft solder But its doing well so far

And on the oil drain prob ... This is what ive come up with !!!! If you have a longer steeper drain it might work ??? but if your turbo is close to the sump you will need a bigger drain into it !!! Also if your using a bush bearing turbo they flow more oil so will also need more flow then a BB one !!! just deepens on how high you can get the turbo Really

mine only has about 10mm fall to the sump and about 100mm of pipe so it fills quick which ill have to work on But its working for now

    Hope this biography Helped

oh, adam soft solder mate, as in electronic solder? be very VERY careful mate. i don't think that will hold up under the heat bud. keep a very very close eye on it dude.

hmmm, just thinking about my old VL Turbo, the oil return from that was only short, BUT thinking about it, it didn't drain into the sump, it drained into the block on the old RB30, so I guess oil level wasn't a problem hey.

I'll get a angled speedflow fitting and try it when the time comes, otherwise I'll pull the sump off and sort something like what you've done dude.

Adam - just go with what you know works and stick to it mate! as Grega has said, keep a good eye on that drain though, but we have covered this already in earlier posts in this thread.

I don't know why people keep hacking on others when this is meant to be a forum who welcomes people and provides knowledge and help to those who want it.

Basically what I am trying to say here is, if you have nothing positive/constructive to say, then keep your comments to yourself.

We are all (most of us) here to learn and help others with what we have come across, I for one find it incredibly annoying, when you are trying to achieve or try something out that you think will work, and somebody flames the hell out of you.

All in all, good work so far mate and keep it up, you have displayed a good learning curve, and after all thats what counts!
