OK this is what Ive done to get it to start when its hot ???? adjusted the TPS setting to 3% and it starts and idles ?? probably not right but works anyone know this is happening ???

just wish that there was someone in Sydney that would come and talk to me about the tuning side so i could understand how it all works properly

Simple MT tuning isnt difficult for someone to pick up that who knows the basics of fuel/ign tuning and how ECU's work.
Sorry... but its starting to sound like you dont know the basics

When i say "basics", its not a small amount of knowledge... there is a lot to know & learn.

Unless you have a lot of free time you can dedicate to learning this stuff, then learning how the MT works, and then tuning it, i suggest you get a pro with a dyno to do it.
Its not easy, can be frustrating (especially with MT's) and you can kill an engine (esp turbo engines) pretty easily if you get it wrong.

I wasn't trying to be negative at all, just informing you so you dont ruin your engine

Your TPS needs to read 0% with throttle closed at idle. if you have to take it above that for it to idle then you are running off the load maps instead of the idle maps (tps above 0% switches to load maps from idle maps). change this with the TPS CAL function.

Base static timing should be set to 10 degrees, with TIMING LOCK ON. Do not rev the engine with TIMING LOCK ON.

I will try to put together some values for you as a starting point in a spread sheet if you like?

Once again, I was in no way being negative at all.

I assume your injectors are std and so is your fuel pressure?

    yeah all still standard

timing is set at 10deg with timing lock on and ive checked that is wright more times then i can count

the settings above worked till it got hot then it just stalled and wouldn't start an till i moved the tps setting in the mt (which i know is not wright and its running in load ) but its the only way it would start

if you could do some base settings for me it would help me heaps

i will add once againe that this is my first EFI tune and that im trying to learn as much as i can before i bolt the turbo on.... ive built and tuned a few carby fed na motors so i know when it is pinging and i all ways have the tune abit rich when trying new things....

ive spent the last three days reading the manual that i have but its preety basic as we all know thats y im looking for more info all the time trying to get my head around this and when it clicks it will be sweet .....

    Thanks for your time

try looking at your value of vacuum in the load map that it is running at (ms) and making your vacuum value in the respective idle map equal to it. then re-cal TPS and see if it starts. Basically get it running and then throw a wideband on there to sort out the AFR's. Timing maps I should be able to assist you with. Will take a look at home tonight and see what data I have.

have you checked what your crank maps are at low and high temps? also what are your water temp correction values?

actually, can you PM me all of the values out of your microtech? if you have them readily available that is.

I just realised they are in your video, but if you have got them down somewhere could you scan or type them up for me?

no worries we should be able to get to a happy start-up medium and then go from there. Do you have access to a wideband mate?
