New oil return is angled down !!!!!! And is 17mm ID if this doesn't work than it has to be stuffed !!!!!!!!!
Will be welding it in tomorrow !!!!
The return is belled at the end (inside the sump) to 19.5mm ID Just in case![]()

ummm..... I know people braze these things in sometimes. (ie. a certain gay garage in town here uses a spike to punch a hole in sumps and then brazes in fittings for oil drains). I have never liked the idea, but I cannot comment on its effective or defective ness as I have never looked into it further or done it personally.
I am sure people here have though? FWIW I still dont like the idea. But meh, go for it if you like?![]()

they'd be punching a hole in the sump instead of drilling as it wouldn't create swarf to run around inside the block - note i take it they're doing this on sumps already on cars. not ideal but yeah you get that...
nothing wrong with brazing - is very effective.
Grega - yeah on sumps already on cars. and cool! I had doubts about solder, but if it works then it works!
