2JZ best single turbo

So what did you end up getting and how did it perform?

I'm looking at a Gt3582R with the 0.63 a/r T3 housing...i really want light switch response as close to the TT seq setup as i can get but with better mid/top end. Auto with shift kit and 2800ish rpm stall. 300ish rwkw is plenty and the 0.63 should make that?

Whats the budget then ? Other factors to consider manifold / lines / injectors / ecu / fuel pump etc,etc.

Big singles dont come cheap unless you're going to manufacture and fit most of this yourself !

It has a 2800rpm stall....apparently? Definitely has a new converter but the stall speed doesn't seem to match the invoice so ???

I'll do the single conversion for under $1K mate have no doubt

Guys who get the 2800=3000rpm hate it with a passion and regret not going the higher stalls.

3mm stainless manifold acquired, $100 check I have everything else, bar the turbo, sitting in the shed as spares left over from various projects.

Chasing more power at a later date will require injectors and maybe pump, but car has a Neo so hopefully nothing else required.

Higher stalls? I'd be just as happy with the stock stall...high stalls are just stupid for the street? it's a daily and tow car remember

440s can pump out a fair bit, NEO cant adjust timing tho....

Timing will be fine, Toyo are comfortably conservative with timing. I'm close to the limit of the 440's already @ 16psi. 18psi is safe, anything over is too close to the edge and system condition and variations determine whether you smile or cry

Yeah, that is the plan. No need to fix what ain't broke. They will go some time though and a PITA to play with. A single is more appealing all round and a shitload lighter to boot.

BTW that car of yours has a 3500rpm stall...lucky you !
