not sure if this is relevant but *meh* just came across this thread and this video at the same time..

that said, u can get torque steer in a RWD car too.. engine spins one way.. and engine is connected to the car via engine mounts, g/box and moving tyres.. if an engine has a fair bit of torque and the chassis is strong, doesn't flex occur somewhere and the car's rear end goes in one direction (normally left) during heavy acceleration? or is this another defintion of something else?
I have experienced this in a Mitsu Starion with 170rwkw and worn bushes. It wasnt the power that did it, it was the sloppy rear bushes but yes the torque can steer a rwd but its not called torque steer, its called stuffed bushes

was probably toe out (due to worn bushes) on the rear when under accel that caused the steering

the old canary would do that... i always thought because it had a rotary and there was a fair bit of torque out of the engine.. (i could've sworn on hard take-off, the car actually lifts up and the whole car would swing left )... then i noticed that after a few drag sessions, the back right tyre was wearing out 4 times faster than the left one... so the way i can best explain is there is front lift, and chassis twist... oh and it's mini-spooled so both wheels spin the same regardless..

ill tell you right now, im a RWD boy. but thats ok....
basically, in a rwd car if you hit a corner to quick, drop a gear and the rear end will shift out and assist your angle. hit a corner too quick in a fwd car and you drop a gear front end will try harder to go straight on. hit the brakes...car will still try to go straight on.
    in a straight line.
yes as a whole front wheel drive cars will allways have a tendancy to understeer as opposed to rwd cars but you enter a corner too fast in any type of car then you should probably be going slower
