Also, all the vrs kits i`ve seen don`t seem to have the small washers that go under the bolts on the top cover etc, mine are unusable.
Im still having trouble finding gze gaskets, hopefully metal in stock size 1.2mm. They all seem to be larger or smaller in thickness. Im not sure what sizes are ok to just put straight back on without making any changes to things. please leave links or suggestions.
thx

Just go Toyota genuine mate, the gasket wont be metal but it will be the correct thickness. This site http://www.toyodiy.com/ has just about every Toyota part number you could want (its where i went 4 all my 4agze rebuild parts).
Besides, unless ur engine will b running very high boost u shouldnt need 2 go with a metal head gasket.
There's a company up here in QLD called SERCO that make custom gaskets (metal/copper ect) to order. It ain't cheap though.
second the toyota genuine. When your there grab some new headbolts and the washers you require
Past - 3 RA23's 1 TA22 - Hairdresser mobiles
Present - Red 4age KE70 - Sideways shopping trolly
Future - White KE70 - Grandma shopping trolly
a genuine AE112 7afe h/g
there MLS (just over 1mm think) from what i have read.. can someone confirm??
if you call toyota spare parts they would be able to tell you hopefully..

how much was skimmed on the head? that would give you an idea on how much you need to compensate with a h/g..
having said that.. putting a .8mm TRD in there isn't exactly going to hurt it.. it would be like running an extra 1.5psi boost 'all the time'
road and track have some cometic ones in stock atm

the metal 7A gaskets don't suit a 4AGZE. The cooling jacket holes are totally different.
Road & Track have most in stock. www.roadandtrack.net.au
dont be scared of the genuine 4agze h/g, they hold down pretty good.
put it this way, a genuine hg on stockish 4agze is over kill![]()
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
a 4agze head gasket is the same as a 4age head gasket. if you cant find a 4age head gasket you dont belong near an engine.... or you live in like alice springs or something
Well, as it turns out, toyota in wollongong were useless to talk to, albion park was able to help me, got some goodies from japan for me, eg 2 only front engine mounts left in japan for my particular model. All the gaskets i ordered had no metal whatsoever so sent them all back, genuine toyota one is great. there were many gaskets , but they were all crap.
As trdee said"if you cant find a gasket you dont belong near an engine" the problem is seeing one before you order it online, to see how crap it is. most are.
thx though people, some of your replies helped. cheers.
you can try Fensport.com in the uk
A 1mm gasket will be fine if you want to raise comp go for a 0.8mm and to lower go for a 1.2mm depends on how much boost you want to run
edit also you can get them from
