52 is Knock Sensor, which would definitely make sense.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a chart of some sort please?
1989 ae92 trueno sprinter gt-z, 4agze AFM.
As i havn`t done this before, im thinking the error code is 52. After the 5th flash of 0.5 sec intervals, there is a 1.5 sec gap, 2 more flashes , then it repeats.
The engine warning light is coming on every time i go over 2800 rpm.
Any help or tables for this engine would be great.
Thx.

The above opinion is just that - my opinion. It is not shared by any business that I am currently or have previously been involved with, nor any of their employee's.
What fuel are you running? GZEs require 98, at least.

yep, only ever run 98, the thing is, just done a HG on the car, so wasnt sure if the CAS was in the exact position.
I do recall though, the green plastic clip on the knock sensor was seperated from the metal part of the nut, not knowing how delicate it would be, just put selastic around the edge to seal it on, however im pretty sure it is meant to be one piece.
Is the 4age sensor possibly interchangable with the gze? Im wondering if it will be easy to source?
pretty sure a 4age dosnt run a knock sensor only 4agze.. 3sgte would most likely be the same.

The 4AGE does have a knock sensor. I had the same error code coming up a few months back on my AE93 (same as AE92). The sensor was $240 from Toyota.
Also worth checking is the wiring coming out of the sensor as it may be damaged enough to give the error. The error is the knock sensor not being detected if I remember correctly, so a damaged wire could easily cause it.

3SGTE isn't the same, but any 4A knock sensor can be used, just the plug changes, so if you get one from the wreckers etc, make sure you snip the plug off the loom as well.

Awesome guys, thanks so much for the info and help, cheers.
But foook, lol, $240 for a bolt with a wire from toyota is a bit steep huh? Thats crazy hahaha.
