    Yeah, a rolled lip is all I was meaning. You may not be able to pull them off, but once it's been heat-cycled and had hot oil pumped through it under pressure, who knows exactly what it's going to do. Besides, you might just be puny

    Considering intercooler hoses can blow off at 30psi or below i guess that suggestions wouldnt be such a bad idea.

    I've had intercooler hoses blow off at less than 20psi even with a lip. The setup pictured above is 100% guaranteed to fail, maybe not immediately but definitely soon.

    Proper barbed or AN fittings are the only way to go with oil hoses. I've had an oil hose pop off before and you'd be stunned how quickly the sump is pumped dry, even with the engine idling. If it happens at full noise your engine is toast before you even realise something is wrong.

    I would weld or silver solder a nipple to the steel section and then use an an fitting.
