can you please let me know how it goes, i am very interested in what else you need to do and how much of a power increase there is.

Looking for a new toy. If you have something 18r powered let me know.
RIP, where ever you are :- 1974 celica, 3tgte and 186.5hp at 6500rpm
Well...It arrived today8 days after leaving LC Engineering's Workshop.
3 days to travel half way around the world.....and 5 days from Sydney to my place(just north of Brisvegas)
Patience not being a strong point...we had to get into it straight away.
Fast forward about 4 hours (includes smoko break of course!)
A couple more pics
Enough for today.... Still got to connect the 5th Injector and wire in the Piggy back gear.
P.S. We did give it a short run on the original ECU and without the 5th Injector and there is a significant improvement in performance.

shortly may actually mean within 12 months haha
hello
SIK how much it end up costing incuding freight might be keen while the dollar is up!
Can't give final cost yet as we are having issues with the original ECU handling the Unichip Piggyback
Seems the Australian spec ECU is very different to the USA one and is not up to the task.
Typical...we usually get the leftover s*#t the rest of the world doesn't want!
But as Brett said....you won't get much change out of 5 G's

i got a prado 3rz ecu if thats any help.
hello
Thanks, Compared your pinouts (from previous post) and there are several differences to mine.
Mine has 3 plugs...26, 16, & 22.Some of the codes on mine are not listed on yours
(injector #30 & #40, SIL, TC, FC, STP, SPD, TAC, to name a few)
Been in contact with Authorised Unichip Installer in Brisvegus, and been advised that it's not do-able to use the Unichip Piggyback on the standard ECU on a 3rzfe Hilux. Apparently they've come accross this before and spent countless hours trying to adapt it...but it just won't work!
They've overcome the problem in the past by throwing the Unichip to the Sh##house and fitting a Stinger ECU to do the work.... And they're the Unichip Agents
So...as you can gather...we're not real impressed with Unichip as it's useless to us, and is going to cost a heap more to get it running
Anyone looking for a cheap Unichip Piggyback and Turbo Module?? Brand new...never been used![]()

A few weeks later.....
Seems like the so called expert advice on the Unichip is pretty much Bulls**t. Have had it tuned by another Unichip Agent, and have had some success. Problem now is the restricted inlet and exhaust.
A bit later......
Have fitted a two & half inch exhaust from the y piece on the manifold straight thru now with no exhaust restrictions.
Modified the intake as per photo below and have now booked for a tune and dyno for the
18th January when the guy starts work again after his Chrissy break.
It is already going heaps better, but am reluctant to give it too much before the Unichip retune.
