anyone? wasnt there a corolla that came out with a powerglide? what was the ratio on that one? i have searched but couldnt find much
hi all just wondering what if any other diff ratio options are available for a for a ke70?? I know the manual is 4.1 and auto is 3.9 but is there any other ratios out of other corolla's that will fit? Reason im asking is i have a auto ke70 wouldnt mind something a bit better for highway use so its not revving its tits off doing 100kph.

Assuming that you have the Jap spec housing in Oz look to NZ for late model KP Starlet diffs, think 3.3 and 3.5 available? Just be sure it is from the U code diff not the smaller X code.
Callum
just fit bigger rolling diametre tyres......im assuming this is a daily shitter......?
most likely will be aussie bog warmer p00 diff.
fit 4age - it will be cheaper.
...... butt scratcher?!
Its the other way round mate, the auto's have 4.11, the manuals 3.9Originally Posted by Jordan 76
If you can find a t18 t series diff, most had 3.7 ratio's.
Given that your car is 1300cc and the auto box has 3 gears, its not a good recipe for highway cruising.
The reason that its revving its head off with is because it needs to have enough power to keep it at 100!
do t18 diff housing's bolt up to a ke70?

Bolts up to the body but you will need to change the driveshaft.
Callum
will i have to shorten or lengthen the shaft or just the flange at the back?

You can just use a T18 tail shaft if you're running a 20 spline gearbox. K50s and series 1 T18 boxes are 20 spline. Either that or just using the rear half of the T18 tail shaft if your current tail shaft is a two piece.
IMO it not worth messing with your diff ratio unless you're planning on doing something power wise to the engine.
to go anything other than the ke70 diff's your gonna have to replace the rear end (drum to drum/disc to disc) probably either s-series or t-series from other corollas ae71/ae86/te72/te71 etc. then you will probably going to need a different tail shaft to fit
