haha nice one, cool stuff is cool.
It comes with the bracket for the pump and the tanks. I did have to grind the pump mount slightly to clear the curve in the engine mount. I was one of the first to buy Baz's kit so I didn't expect it to be perfect from the start. It was only a minor issue and I'm pretty sure Baz has it all sorted now. The lines are all custom as it depends on where you are mounting your tank and if you're running a remote filter. Used wiggins/hydraflow fittings so I can take it apart easily/quickly. The lines cost almost as much as the dry sump kit itself!
I'm like 30psi_4agte where I'm building another bigger/better motor with the capacity to spin to 10k with mega headwork. I decided a while ago to go dry sump because of the benefits and then test it on the current motor to iron out any bugs in the system. So yes to the last 2 questions... try to get to track days when I can and I like having cool stuff![]()
4agte finally completed. 234rwkw @ 8125rpm. Tis fun
haha nice one, cool stuff is cool.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
For the RPM your going to pull and the time + Money you spent on the engine. It would make sense to use a DS kit.
Say you use the stock crank driven pump, it lets go, bang goes your engine you just sepnt $10k+ on.
Do it once, do it properly and never have to worry again.
Those 6 cylinder engines dont produce the harmonics like our 4aages do at those RPMs so they are kinder to the pumps.
In saying that they have to run specially made Nitto pumps to cope. Even then some of them still let go according to the engine machinst where I get my engines machined.
We are also doing a revision of our DS kit - Different internals inside the pump which flows 30% more and its 30% lighter, plus a smaller body size.
Custom Moroso oil tank with special baffles both in 20" tall and 15" tall tanks.

Yep stock RB pump gears explode at high RPM. They have to use aftermarket gears when revving those things.
DS is the way to go on any hard core engine. At 10K rpm the engine is junked in a split second. DS looks cheap in hindsight.
My 2c worth.
Cant wait to read about the new 4A. Good luck with it!
Cool thread is cool.
Good to see you guys still in the game, got to get me another 4A one day...
The other advantage of a proper dry sump set up, is that they drag crank case gasses out of the engine and do it downwards, via the pan. This should help with a 5000 psi engine spinning at 1,000,000 rpm (slight exaggeration added for extra emphasis points..........) to gain HP as well as oil return to the pan.
