    Kristal,
it was nice to meet you and your guy (forgotten his name sorry)

Be good to see the supra out there, and showing girls can compete on a level playing field with the boys.

the more girls into cars the better i reckon.....

    Cheers

I thought long and hard about it, and here's what i think are the reasons why the old core toymods group might not've attended this year....
    • blacksupra (baron von dong) - married, and from all accounts not allowed to even look at cars
    • ZZE92 + lucida - bought a house last year, being financially "wise"
    • Joshstix - overseas
    • toyman75 - bought a house and too many cars
    • bigperm - now lives in radelaide, too far to come
    • Mos - works too hard these days
    • Ed - jizzed in his pants over a 1uz
    • riceburna - crippled, and lost his job (GFC)
    • toobs - overseas for work
    • The Witzl - i bought 2 houses, and wanted to spend easter with my fiancee for the first time since i've met her. I also have no money, and im moving house next week

Then there are all the people who the core group would encourage to come, and who would come to toynats because of the large group mentality.

Of course there are also all the guys who are midway through builds, dont have the money, bought houses, got married, had families, etc etc.

For the most part... i think the core group is growing up, and doesnt have as much SPARE time and money to put into their toymodding anymore. Come a few years, and some of these guys might come back.

I know im certainly going to get back into the scene once i have more spare time and money.... then i can finish my bastard RA28.

I might see you all in 2010. Even if i dont have a car.
Well said mate. Everybody has there reasons and shouldn't have to justify.
Who ever turns up is who ever turns up, most people always go out of their way to have fun at the nationals, car or not. This is my third year of going without the car because of what ever reason, there won't be a forth year.
The main thing is people are still turning up. I know of at least 15 people from Newcastle that have already booked for 2010.
So lets just get past it and make sure that every who can make it 2010 turns up.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

we will be there again next year regardless of what is going on be it drags, khana, goha to whoa, show @ shine.or just the occasional brew and good company. I will have a new car built for next year and was thinking of selling the cressie but i think i may need to keep it for guys that dont quite get thier cars ready in time ,cause we had a ball throwing the old girl around and im sure others would too . i have not spoken to one person who did not have a great time at dubbo. cheers greg
