    Open door clock goes off

    close door clock comes on

turn interior light on, clock goes off (!) on dash

turn interior light off, clock comes on

pull handbrake on, clock off (!) on dash

that sounds like a short rather than a fuse.

I think when Ed put some plugs in the wrong way (apparently it's possible if you push hard enough) he got weird things like that happening... maybe ask him?

Step 1, unplug stereo and see if problem goes away...

From you supraforms thread this started happening after you played with the stereo?...

true but i didnt change anything at all just looked, so thats why i didnt mention it on here.

i think i did try to put a plug in the wrong place but then worked it out.

its not really important just kind of annoying me now because i dont know what it is.

ok small update. i unplugged everything.

plugged everything back in one by one to see what happened.

    basically nothing.

anytime the warning light on the dash is on the clock turns off.

i have a feeling its an earth problem. but no idea really.

is there any variable earths? if thats even a thing??

i did mistakenly put the clock plug into the one below the odometer (dont even ask)

    i have no friggin idea.

Looks like it, but mine was quite abit smaller, should be inline with your antenna though and then into the HU, it should have power too.

    fixed the problem today.

turned out to be the dome fuse in the engine bay. i had checked it previously but didnt look blown then put a multimeter across it today and was gone.

    yay.
