Default RA28 +KE70 - Reducing the track back close to normal with RA6x Arms?

    I just bought new rims...
and im worried they wont fit inside the guards at the front...
Well, they will be fucking close! Now what im questioning is
In doing the KE70 rack conversion like i have, we increased the front track by about 12-14mm each side. In doing this created some negative camber as well...
To bring my track back in to sort out possible not fitting of front wheels, one guy mensioned using RA6x power steering LCA's as they bring the track in about 10 mm...
another bloke reckoned it would created bump steer issues, but as im only correcting the the track close to what it was originally, it shouldnt matter should it???

bump steer is due to the position of the rack, the rack ends, and the inner pivots of the lower control arms.
are you sure you have no bump steer issues now?

10mm = abotu 1deg of camber you will lose..

    seems stupid.

how far away from the struts are the rims and tyres?
measure that, tke away maybe 5mm, then buy new rims with backspace to achieve that.

changing lower arms and losing camber due to buying wrong rims seems the wrong way aroudn to do it

Im currently very sure my car isnt bump steering, drives beutifully at high and low speeds, under all types of braking....
It may have a TINY bit, but not much. Unnoticable...
I havent got camber tops yet, i was thinking shorten the arms, lose 1mm of camber, and then dial it back in with camber tops.

well, maybe best you can do is to measure the bump steer (ie, with ruler and crap), and then put on shorter arm and measure again.. if it doesn7 tchange, you'll be right

it all depends on the position of the rack, but shortening both the LCA adn the tie rods at same time.. unless rack is in funny position.. shouldn't affect bump steer stupidly..
ie, if you have a parallelogram between tierods and LCA, than making the parallelogram shorter is not end of the world.. but might affect dytnamic roll centre with bump..

then again, any rack position is a compromise, and unless you measure, you never know how much...

10mm at LCA and 10mm at tops is not bad..

what will these low(er) offset rims do to your scrub radius? how will that affect the feel?
you could be effectively doubling the moment arm of the tyre trying to turn the strut = not good and might amplify any bump steer or self steering effects
