Celsior/ 1uz Tacho issue

hey, i just picked up my celsior... its all good but since i took it through my car wash the tacho has started fucking up...

It sits about what would be 1k below 0 and when you rev the car it only goes up to about 1 or 1.5k max...

Im guessing its not a mechanical fault with the tacho but an electrical issue considering i just took it through a car wash.. (it sprays underneath the car too) im guessing its some kind of earthing issue or something... any opinions...

Mine (94 LS400 aus) had an array of electrical problems with the dash/tachos,

I had to get a whole new unit through that neil fella at Rush imports QBN or whatever it is. - You being in Perth that prolly doesn't help much.

It would take ages to 'warm up' and the tacho wouldnt work and no lights till this had happened.

Hey, i found the problem.... turns out the fact i went through a carwash was just coincidence... The problem was mechanical...

I pulled the cluster out and reset the needle to 0 and it works a treat... apparently its a common problem...

Oh well all fixed now..
