Default Car turns off for no reason

    Hello,

This has only happened once before, it was when I was doing skids and smashed into a kerb, when I smashed into the kerb the engine turned off.

This Time I was doing skids in the wet again, but did not hit a kerb.
The engine just turns off without hesitating or jerking.

This is very unusual as I ussually drive my car hard, and has not happened all the other times.

    Car Detail :

    Toyota Soarer GZ20
    Engine : 1g-gte
    larger intercooler
    blow off valve
    2.5" catback exhuast.

Any Ideas on why this has happened?
    Thanks.

your car thinks you are an idiot?

cops or parent shave a remote kill switch?

or maybe your ignition key is farked or you have a loose wire somewhere. ie main power to main system is fecked. use multimeter next time you are being an idiot, and see which system failed

Actually at the exact time when the engine turned off I wasn't revving it flat out doing a skid.
Only thing I can think of is water might have gotten into the pod, but not sure if thats it.

Thanks for Suggestions, The battery clamps are on very tight, I had made sure of this.

Check engine light came on I think, so I might check for error codes.

    Thanks.

Please film skid and stall and post on youtube, it will help with online diagnosis.

your car wont just suddenly turn off from water going in the pod without you noticing a distict spluttering and loss of power for a while first.

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

    rly?

Dont know how my starlet made it back from Sydney a few times then.. so much water went up the pod that I lost the majority of power.. got it home though and took it round the block a few times when the rain had stopped and 'flushed' the water out..

    its blown up now though.

Maybe that's why your turbo looks like it ate something.

Enough water in a cylinder will do what Garth said. I've had bent rod in my hand from this exact cause.

I'm with OC on this one - I've had similar symptoms.. when I went over a large bump engine would just cut out. Turned out to be a loose main power cable.

Trace your really important power cables and see if anything's loose.

ps: stop driving like a knob and you'll cause less problems

    DIY water injection.

needs a power port to perform correctly
