Rosie, the charcoal cannister from a 1G-GTE Soarer/Supra front cut is about as small as they come. I mounted mine nearly exactly where the the RA28's original cannister was mounted.Originally Posted by Rosie

MS51Crown Coupe,

Got an engine package not a 1/2 cut so no canister -
As for original location it's been a long build and wouldn't have the faintest, was thinking in front of wiper motor behind the strut.

TX3 or maybe mazda familia have a tiny canister... Skylines im told are pretty small...
Fords and/or Holdens are very close to the same size as stock ones if you just need something to get you by...
Let me know if you find something small thats common, as i want a smaller more compact one
Cheers,
Jase

Charades also have a nice small canister

The original RA28 canister works a treat. It fits in its original position (just have a look at a RAxx) perfectly with the 1GGTEU.
Cheers Craig
suzuki swift/holden barina is the same cannister as the GA70 ones nice and small and squarish
- ma61 + 2jz-gte + v160 + 3.5 torsen
i second the charade EFI canister - the outlet to the engine has a 1-way valve in it (so engine has to suck fumes out of it and you don't need a VSV to isolate it) and being rectilinear in shape, it's easy to make bracketry up for it.
Hmm... would a one-way valve like in the brake booster line work?
EDIT: this is also for 1G - running aftermarket ecu and forward-facing plenum, but still have stock manifold lying around if the appropriate valve is situated at that end rather than the 1G's stock cansiter's end.
stefan: if the canister came out of the engine donor car (or an EFI car fort hat matter) then no need to add any extra valves
Ahh, toyota = built in valve? The canisters I have to choose from are MA61 and RA65, both pretty big.Originally Posted by thechuckster
I bolted my ke30 one inside the front guard on a modified bracket. Run two vaccum hoses through the guard then popped them through the side of the engine bay behind the drivers strut tower. One to the return line and one to the throttle body.
Love the idea of putting it in the cavity behind the guard - awesome.
Visiting pickies tomorrow -
Thanks Fellas.
