another way to get old unserviceable cups out if access to use a hammer and drift is difficult (and you have an arc welder or similar) is to run a bead of weld around the cup bearing face. This in effect shrinks the bearing cup and it comes out easily.
Suggest you don't use a hammer on bearings it can be dangerous (hitting two hardened surfaces together is not good practice, it can damage the bearing or if hit hard enough fragments of hardened steel can fly off and cause injury. Should use a soft hammer (with copper or polymer inserts) directly on bearings or if using a hammer and a drift the drift should be softer than the bearing (m/steel or brass typically). Only mentioned this for those who may be new to fitting bearings as I'm sure the majority of Toymodders already know this.
